HI Spiral,
Anytime you engage in a practice that is personally transformative and self healing, experiences such as OBE's are certainly possible.
They are 'not' the goal. What to do if you have an OBE? Just go back to your practice. " Ground yourself in your practice." In general , be a neutral observer.
If some type of energy shows up repeatedly, you can certainly communicate, and ask a question about why it is showing up, or whatever...otherwise, just observe, stay neutral, ground in your practice, utilize your focus..
My response is not meant to counter Gabby's help. It sounds very enjoyable , and I am not an expert, by any means on OBE! I have had some, but they are memories of experience now, more than something that specifically came forward with my practice.
I do know that, that type of experience can come from a transformative practice, and returning to the practice promotes a continued unfolding or growth in the right direction.
Reflection is possible way to follow up. Take the experience into 'a' followup meditation to reflect on it. Then move on.
I have had experiences, that then became part of my prayers, giving me a picture, to put with the words. I consider them as gifts of experience and affirmations. All experiences have seemed like something I have, then continue on . Sometimes layers to move through, sometimes, as I say, a specific gift or giving of energy, or teaching experience.
love,
gallen
