I was just wondering if anyone else experiences activation anxiety like myself?
I've been using Photoreading with my studies, but seeing how the material tends to be either dense or just very wordy, I tend to get into a 'this is frustrating' state. I have no problem doing all five steps, it's just that I get so frustrated that at times I have to just stop activating altogether.
I also tried regular reading only to discover how much slower it is. It's not only slow, it's far less engaging. But activation anxiety seems to just kick me in the face.
I realize that part of the anxiety is my desire to know everything all at once, so I literally give myself persmission to let it go and anticipate comprehension through layers of activation, but I just can't photoread the material the same way as I do with non-academic books.
Anyone have any hints on how to go about using photoreading with studying difficult material?
