Hi, After reading an earlier thread about audio conversion Ive recently re-converted my CDs to mp3 files at the highest bitrate available to me... 320 (they were converted at a lower bitrate previously) and WOW!...Yes I can now actually hear that faint hum of embedded Holosync without any problems
at all!

The main point to the post is that after the goal setting intoduction at the beginning of the session I have now started to allow myself to focus more on just the Holosync hum in the background while the Paraliminal plays out and I have found that by doing this I can relax more than I usually do and seem to drift even deeper into that Accelerative learning/desired state. Even when I feel a little restless prior to listening. I have also found that I cant keep this 'hum focusing' up though as because I am so deep in that relaxation, my mind switches off totally and then wakes up again toward the end of the session. I know that this is ideally what should happen.

If this helps me get into the desired state, maybe it could be something that other users could experiment with also and hopefully benefit from if they are having problems in switching off or feeling restless while listening to a paraliminal.

Cheers
Simon

Am new to LS/paraliminal family. Currently using DeepRelaxation (chronic hypertension) & both sides of NBG (anger management/temper probs). Have YET to detect Holosync hum. Figured it might help in some manner if I could focus on it, but don't know what to do. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi Gardnerguy

Holosync should appear as a faint hum in the background of the paraliminal though personally I have found this to be a little more noticable on some sessions than others. If you are listening directly from the original paraliminal cd I would say that you should definately be able to pick out the hum but if you have converted the tracks on your cd to MP3 then you may not be able to hear it. This may be because the tracks on the cd have been converted/encoded at a low bitrate. The optimum conversion bitrate should be set to 320. Until recently I had my paraliminals converted to mp3 but at a lower bitrate and I didnt notice the hum. It was only after reading a post on the forum that i re did them at 320. I use iTunes to convert the cds and also use an mp3 joining program called Mp3 Splitter Joiner to combine the tracks afterwards, and this works a treat with the minutest area of gap between the tracks. I dont think the joining program is definately needed though.

All I do sometimes is focus on the holosync hum when it is fully noticable and Ive found this to relax me even more...though it may just be me!
Another great way I find to relax is to really concentrate on my breathing, breathing in from the stomach, holding it for a few seconds and then letting the breath out slowly, just as instructed on the Instantaneous Personal Magnetism para. You should notice that you will start to breath a lot more deeper also after a while.

I can add that I dont need to do this as much with the new Sonic Access meditations as they just knock me sideways anyway! These are incredibly relaxing

I hope that this helps

You don't even need the hum. Just focus on listening down the middle. If you want to listen to one side or the other do so. Quit being anxious about having something to listen to. Set your purpose and let the non-conscious mind do the listening.

Check the Technique Overview that comes with each Paraliminal for ideas what you might want to think about. A mantra is good and so is daydreaming. Just let it be what it is. No need to try to do anything once you've decided what your purpose for listening is.
