Thanks for the answers - very helpful . But as usual everyone has a different view and I believe that confirms my original thought that your perception is what creates 'your' reality and that everyones reality is different.
If for instance I was a colour blind child and was told that trees and grass were green so I called them green but I actually saw them as red. Red trees and grass would be my reality and my truth. In the end reality as we know it is what we are conditioned and taught to believe it is. How do we know what is green - only by being told. Who decided green was green in the first place?
Gallen - it was 'perception' not 'perspective' which was the word in the debate.
