Hi,
Some basic concepts provided by Master Lin are:
- energy can't be destroyed, it can be transformed
- there are two type of qi, universal and spiritual
- there is a law to the physical universe ,,,,example: eating bad food and the result to that
- Regarding manifestation: yin is the idea, and yang is the manifestation of the idea.
In creating, one holds the idea in mind, to manifest something. In healing work, clearing blockages, one removes the idea, to break down the manifestation.

When doing healing with qi, we are potentially working with two types of qi, one unlimited(spiritual), and one relative to the laws of the physical universe. Focus and intention are part of this too.

Within the greater qigong community( you could add in scientific community here too), the above ideas, are not accepted by all. The spiritual energy piece is not. Or, in most cases, it is simply not known of in context to qigong. Healing work can happen, just working with universal energy, physical/internal qi, meridians, channels, points. That is mystery enough for most, and actually still something to be accepted by most people in the west.

So, we all align within this picture of energy and energywork, differently. The terms qi, qigong, and reality , mean different things to different people. Vastly different things. If you ask me if healing with qi changes reality, or our perception of reality, I am answering a different question, than the next person. It would not be out of range within this diversity of knowing and understanding these terms, for me to see that question as, does qigong change qigong, or does reality change reality, when we do heal with qi, me understanding/defining reality and qigong as the one in the same, or inclusive of each other, not separate.
Or, when in emptiness, one heals, hence, "healing with qi", but,,,,,,in emptiness, there is no perception of anything. So "healing with qi" can take place in a state of being, with perception, non existant. Also, reality can be an enlightened understanding, or enlightenment. Reality , simply" is". Perception is something perceiving something else, a duality exists in that , so the conversation is moved to a specific level of understanding or experiencing of reality, or assumption that perception exists, and reality is yet to be realized.

Aaaaaaargh! and Aaaaaaargh!

Thanks guys,

Well you have given replies which are going to take me some time to understand.

Iam2 - it was less about the waves turning to particles and more about the fact that it only happened when they were being observed , which is why I concluded that perception created reality.

Gallen thanks a lot for this, you explain a lot about the process and Master Lins views. It is difficult to understand - mainly because we are trying to explain the infinite with finite minds.

Love and light,
Faune

Can enough people practice qigong to bring peace into human minds. I have a dog and a cat they live together and You can feel their energies. We the people have the choice to use the energy or to loose the energy, and most people choose the second choice. When we dont have goals, positive goals, then it is easy for negative things get into our life.
Qigong is something positive we can do for ourselves and show others so they can change the world into something positive,. Sorry , world is already and will allways be positive but our perception is not sometimes.

In Group healing at saturday 12:00 (Croatia 19:00) we can send qi to al people all lives on eart and beyond

Hello Nikolas,

Thank you for your reply.
I am glad that you are sending qi to all the earth. It is a very positive thing to do and will, as more and more people begin to understand about the power of qi, have a great effect upon our world.

Hi Gallen,

Could you elaborate on this point a little bit (describe it a little more)? Does it mean like if we create an energy blockage because we are say stressed out that we are removing the ideas that are causing us to be stressed and then our body is more able to function an heal... or could you give an example?

Thanks,
Dave

What for would you want to change reality? That's the question. If the answer is just "To manifest that reality can be cnahged", I think the attemps will be futile.

But if you have a certain goal or target in mind, the answer can change. Maybe. If you stop trying too hard...

Hi Dave,
It is helpful to look at 'everything' as energy. Regarding stress, or stressful thinking, 'creating' a blockage for instance... Yes, that could be the case. I would first say though, that if I was looking at someone holding stress energetically , the energy of stress itself is an extra energy that you do not need. You can sort of see that if you picture this, someone with, or without stress. So a blockage exists having stress itself, let alone what might further manifest from that.
Secondarily, holding this stress, over time, has an effect on your physical body and spirit, and futher blockages could develop from that. Say, an ulcer , or high blood pressure , or additional negative emotional reactions to increasing ill health, and then inturn, more blockages.

In your SFQ practice, one of the first 'tools' you are given to utilize is a 'focus'. Say you are stressed out. If so, you probably spend much of your time thinking about what you are stressing about. As soon as you enter your qigong exercise session, the focus you employ, is other than stressful thought. You stop that pattern of stressful thinking, as you focus. Although this can be somewhat a mechanical shift, it works. As long as you focus, you are not having stressful thoughts. Because of the focus, visualizations, alignments, within the exercise, you also self heal as you are in this state. So you begin to release this extra energy. There are of course, all shades of gray regarding how well you hold the focus, etc... Over time, through your practice, meditation, .... you gain wisdom, or understanding, further insights,,,, that further allow you to effect your thinking post session. More of an embodied understanding that even more effectively eliminates stress in your life. This is connected to the idea that qigong is a lifestyle. More self awareness develops in between actual exercise sessions. You might be sitting in your car, waiting for a stoplight to change, and find that you are experiencing a moment of self awareness, choosing to reverse breathe or something, and in the present moment not having a stessful thought, or, choosing not to and breathing instead, just being present.

A different scenerio: Let's say your friend has a tumor, and you want to apply this same theory of taking away the idea. Relative to this, you are taught to use signals or messages. So, as opposed to "I have cancer.", or "He or she has cancer.", you begin to 'change' the message to "No more cancer. , or "completely open.", etc... You don't use the word cancer. You change that, begin to neutralize it, by calling it a blockage. Just a blockage, some extra energy you don't need.
So, you take away that idea of yourself, or someone else, having cancer, and thinking that. This is a very important key to the effectiveness of SFQ.
After putting in that signal or message, then, the work is to support that, by not reverting to the thought of "I or they have cancer". You are taught to see the side effects or feel them or define them as "healing" sensations, or seeing whatever comes, as part of healing, not, having cancer and "it" coming back. So you don't want to look for what you just cleared, after a session. You don't go there. As you hold this level of clearity. Again, there are all shades of gray regarding effort and success. Everything improves with time and practice. The life style aspect is important. If you look at just doing the practice as an exercise session, period, you still are doing well for yourself, but it is difficult to progress, if say you are stressed 12 hours a day, and do qigong for 30 minutes. It takes very little, to spread the wealth, like that moment in your car. Qigong, doesn't have to just mean a fixed time and 'session'. Self awareness, mindfulness, can be experienced at any moment, and it is a part of this. Any time you have the thought come up, "I have cancer.", there is an opportunity to release and transform. If the thought completes, you could immediately let it go, afterwards. Like,,,," That thought was not good for me, I release it and send it back to the universe..." So , taking an action to change having the thought come up. Or, you can stop a thought midstream. If the thought doesn't complete, it doesn't have the charge to it that supports manifesting. It is a very selfempowering experience, to have a thought forming, become self aware as it happens, and stop it short of completing. It is even possible to see a thought coming , and choose not to have it, coming back to the present. Most of the negative thinking that goes on, is not relative to the present moment.
Aside for the message or signal, you have the nuts and bolts of universal qi to work with. You can literally effect blocked qi with sword fingers and so on. So you change the message, and, literally remove the energy blockage. At that point, you 'are' completely clear. In the case of a tumor, as physical manifestation of something, when you clear it, you don't see it as 'tumor' anymore, just 'healing'. The physical part "can" take awhile to break down. It is easy clear the blockage. Then you hold that clearity of mind, and continue to keep your energy clear through exercise. One day you will find the tumors gone. This timing varies from person to person. For some it is immediate, for some, a longer journey.
Master Lin gave an example of what happens when we die, regarding this yin and yang concept. He said the spirit is yin, and the body yang. The spirit leaves the body right away, and the body, the physical part, takes time to break down.

Aaaarg. I don't normally take part in those aaarguments. I'm a scientist (or at least that's my training, and has been a good part of the working life). At a time I would have argued similarly to those people on Beyond Human. I don't waste my energy. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. If the teacher shows up too early, he's just adding noise. That doesn't mean the teacher doesn't look in from time to time to see if the student is ready. I work alongs the lines of advice. People love advice, but only if they asked for it first. Remember some people asking are only looking for confirmations of their own decisions, they're not really asking.

Iam2,

Yeah, you once tried to remind me of this, but only very recently did I fully appreciate the wisdom of not needing to defend science to those who are not ready to appreciate its fullness. I guess I use to be someone who cared too much. I use to be the guy who wouldn't hesitate to jump into the river to try to save someone who's drowning, even if he didn't want to be saved. But after many failed attempts at such heroics, I've inadvertently "graduated" to a new level of detachment. In some sense, it's sad, because now I find myself not caring as much anymore. It's like when a doctor or nurse is around death so much that he or she becomes desensitized to it. But, alas, that is the lesson that the universe had in store for me to learn, and where there was once turmoil and trouble, there is now only peace and serenity. It is funny how we always learn lessons which we most need to learn, but in a way which we least expect.

Best to you, from one scientist to another.

Sorry to go on, I am just trying to get it straight and in a simple form. I was never interested in science and was an Arts major. So I am now finding it really fascinating many years later.

Faune,

Sorry for crashing your party here. But we closed the thread in the Beyond Human forum, and I just had to see what the fuss was about here.

I commend your new interest in things which once did not interest you. We are all growing as we tread our respective paths.

My recommendation to you is that if you want to learn about science, do so from a scientist. Mystics have their roles in the universe, but mystics make poor scientists in general, and from my experience, they have a habit of horribly tainting science either to 1) warp it to fit their own agenda, or 2) belittle it as closed-minded and limiting. Seeking a pseudo-scientific angle on science from mystics is like seeking a pseudo-mystical angle on spirtuality from a scientist. That's not to say some mystics can't be good scientists (and it's not to say a scientist can't be spiritual ... I know many who are very much so), but when you need a plumber, seek a plumber, not a poet.

Anyway, I wish you the best in your journey, and keep an open mind regarding science and scientists. We all share the same ultimate hopes for humanity, after all, and if there's misunderstanding between our cultures, it's only because our languages are different.

Best,

HF

hartreefoch, I don't mean to indicate that I've developed a callus towards some issues. It's more along the lines of I respect myself and other people more than I used to. Before I would insist on pushing the ideas I believed in, until others understood my rightness.

I no-longer feel the need or see the value in following that course of action. I'm understand the value in everyone finding their own truths in their own time. I'll present my thoughts, but if it's not for others I'll not stand around laying it out until someone is ready. I have my own world to create.

I can let go of wanting others to share my beliefs, my truths. I also respect myself to find a healthy balance of helping others and helping myself. My time is well spent on me, but it I can help another I will. I won't try and force what I see as help onto them. For all I know I could do more harm. I let the intent of the helping / sharing be my guide. If I wish to dominate, or come out victorious then I'm not coming from a good place. If I want to help, that is good. If someone does not want my help then that is their path and I will show them enough love to let them exercise their universal power and choose.

Okay, just rambling again. You got the meaning after the first paragraph.

You are perfection.
