Sorry for crashing your party here. But we closed the thread in the Beyond Human forum, and I just had to see what the fuss was about here.

I commend your new interest in things which once did not interest you. We are all growing as we tread our respective paths.

My recommendation to you is that if you want to learn about science, do so from a scientist. Mystics have their roles in the universe, but mystics make poor scientists in general, and from my experience, they have a habit of horribly tainting science either to 1) warp it to fit their own agenda, or 2) belittle it as closed-minded and limiting. Seeking a pseudo-scientific angle on science from mystics is like seeking a pseudo-mystical angle on spirtuality from a scientist. That's not to say some mystics can't be good scientists (and it's not to say a scientist can't be spiritual ... I know many who are very much so), but when you need a plumber, seek a plumber, not a poet.

Anyway, I wish you the best in your journey, and keep an open mind regarding science and scientists. We all share the same ultimate hopes for humanity, after all, and if there's misunderstanding between our cultures, it's only because our languages are different.
