i'm a new photoreader (on tape 5) and am in law school. I would like some help w the best PR strategy possible.
All courses are fully open book exam.
Most course books are essentially looseleaf stacks of legal cases, loosely clustered around a particular subtopic. From each case we need to know (a) what is the law according to this case, (b) what is the legal principle from this case and how do I apply it.
We do not need to memorize facts, we must have a fair degree of mastery of the material to properly apply it during the exam. Meaning, that time flies and it's not smart to rely on the fact that it's open book only. A lot of times when applying a principle (or a section from a statute) there are clarifications and exceptions that come up that we learn during the course. we must apply the principles within the bounds of these clarifications and exceptions. i figure a flow chart and mindmap will greatly help me, however, i would like more help and a more detailed strategy if possible.
In additons (sorry, i know it's a lot, i would greatly appreciate help), my hardest course is in a different format, with a very very dense text book based pretty much fully on a statute. in this course (tax law) we must be able to deftly dive in and out of the income tax act and apply the appropriate rules, and back them up with policy reasons. We have to go through a full tax assessment for our questions on the final. So, what strategy would you recommend for this one?
My exams are in 5 weeks, and I am behind in my reading, would you recommend PR or not at this stage, given my experience level? And please help me come up with a good strategy to tackle all this.

one more thing, do you recommend mind mapping with computer software such as freemind, or on paper?
