Hi All,

I have a 2-part question:

1) How do I use the PhotoReading system to handle books that include exercises and inquiries mixed with text? Here, I mean books like "The Pathfinder" by Nicholas Lore or "Awaken the Giant Within" by Tony Robins. Do I do the exercises as part of activation? Where do they fit into the system?

2) What do I do for problem books like those that might be a companion to a text book? Or workbooks like "The What Color is Your Parachute Workbook" by Richard Nelson Bolles? Do I handle these like exams?

I have just completed the PhotoReading Whole Mind System self study course. I must say this is a TERRIFIC course that is changing my thinking about learning and life in general. Nevertheless, I did not find this type of book specifically addressed in the course. Did I miss this topic? What works for others when you read/work on this type of book?

1). It depends on your purpose. if it matches your purpose and fits in then naturally do the exercises. If it isn't your purpose to work on that or to know that then there is no point in doing the exercises.

2.) Decide what your purpose is. What do you want those books to do or help you with in your life. Then use what works. Books like "What Color is your Parachute " are filled with possibilities and ideas that you can put into action. They only work if you know where you want to go. Then you put the idea into action.
