2. The depth of trance does not always corelate to the effectiveness of the changework. When listening to any given tape, sometimes I'm totally out and other times I'm more aware of what the tape is saying.
3. It probably doesn't matter. You can try to focus on one side or the other on each listening session to see if it makes a difference.
4. What is important is how YOU represent your timeline. Everyone will be at least slightly different. If you need help visualizing, what is it like when you daydream, remember something in your past, or plan for the future? That's all visualization really is. Imagestreaming can improve your skills at this.
5. The limiting beliefs many people have are often from early childhood, or at least from their school days. It is normal to not know exactly when an early event which caused a belief happened. Go to the earliest event of that type you can remember. You will stil benefit from that. Those instructions are also to your unconscious which does know.
6. The limiting belief can be many things. Using your writing example, it may be simply the opposite of the belief you want, such as "I can't write." It can also be more subtle beliefs, such as "I need to major in English to write.", "I won't be able to get published.", "People might not like by book.", "This will be a lot of work.", "I'll need lots of money to do this." or "I don't have the time."
