Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer Purpose

I just want some feedback on a purpose I am formulating to prior to embarking on learning Microsoft ASP.NET books.

I have about 6 books on the subject and I am going to work through them individually. My purpose for reading these books: are so that I can improve my web/programming skills to a professional standard, then I will use these skills to try and improve my career prospects by applying for web developer jobs in ASP.NET and related technologies. I can then improve my income for my family, have a more prosperous future and ultimately develop web applications which allow people to learn or derive value from.

I know this sounds very specific but I am very determined to achieve this purpose with photoreading skills. What I need to do is learn the material from each book inside out by practicing the techniques.

I have read in the Photoreading book that people have photoread computer books and manuals several times over and eventually when activating them the skills were easier to acquire (is this a good strategy for me?). Is there any other advice I could follow in trying to achieve my purpose by using photoreading to accelerate the process? I am worried that superreading will not help me achieve this purpose because I need to absorb and understand the material which I think calls for rapid reading the books?

You're overreaching purpose is good. As you work through each book your purpose might become more specific for that chapter or section. Remain flexible and remember to set a short term goal and have a purpose for that if the long term goal becomes too big or too far to go. Your purpose can relate specifically to help you reach mini destinations along the way.

Textbooks it doesn't hurt to PhotoRead often. Once a day for a couple of weeks is good. If you don't have the time for it don't panic about it. You can always PhotoRead a section just before you begin activation after you've PhotoRead the whole book just once.

I do recommend if you are having difficulty with the activation just PhotoRead the book again.

I once heard Paul tell an experience where his son needed help with some Maths homework. Paul asked him have you tried PhotoReading the whole book again. Later he asked his son if he still needed help with his Maths homework. His son said No, It made sense after he PhotoRead the book again.

So if you get stuck PhotoRead again. Some people PhotoRead the book until they get an intuitive point that they are ready to activate it. This is particularly useful for subjects we find difficult or new to us.
