Hi,

My first post here. Has been interested in PR for some time and just recently had finally decided to own one...

However I noticed that there are 2 versions or edition of PR. One is the classic one while the other is the Deluxe.

For the Deluxe one it consists of :

DVD 1: Inside Secrets
DVD 2: Mastering the Basics
DVD 3: Power PhotoReading

PhotoReading Activator Paraliminal CD

and the Classic Edition,

My question is, how helpful is the additional DVDs and CD?

Pardon me but I am not very familiar with the PR. Sign up for it and got the ebook, read through it and did a search. Saw quite a few recommendations at different sites.

Can anyone advise.

Like for what type of edition or version is more suitable for who? Is the Deluxe version better for those who have been exposed to PR before?

How does the DVDs and CD help in our PR. And most importantly for those who haven purchase the Deluxe version, what do you think? It is worth it for the price you paid?

Pardon me but the Deluxe version is like almost 2 times the price of the classic edition. That is why I wonder if the 3 DVDs and the CD is worth almost the 2nd package of the Classic edition.

Can someone help clear some doubt here? Thank you in advance.

Dear EagerReader,

I just recently finished the deluxe course and I think it is worth the extra money and time--it changed my life. I have read more books (with better comprehension) in the last 2 months than in the previous 2 years. The deluxe DVDs will help you take PhotoReading to the next level with advanced techniques and insights. Both courses come with excellent support (website, forums, and a phone number for coaching). Like anything else, you have to finish the course and apply it to get the most out of it. The full deluxe course takes about 16 hours or more to complete. I cannot say I learned twice as much in the deluxe course, but it will have more than twice the impact on my life. It is a good value in that sense.

The DVDs for the Supercharger were all filmed at a PR retreat where PhotoReaders spent 5 days immersed in PR activities and related topics. The DVD topics are 1)"Inside Secrets," 2)"Mastering the Basics" (Nothing new is presented but still a good review), 3) "Power PhotoReading" (Advanced topics). The paraliminal is something that can be used over and over again. I cannot speak to this CD much because I only listened once. I plan to begin using it regularly.

The participants at the retreat PR dozens of books during the 5 days. On the DVD, a sample of some of the most advanced techniques like syntopic reading and advanced activation techniques like Windtunneling are explained. These techniques are either not discussed in the classic course or only treated very briefly. The best part of the DVD is that you hear directly from over a dozen PhotoReaders who share their experiences. They talk about the personal struggles and triumphs that they experience during the retreat. I found this very helpful in letting go of my own high expectations and working through them with some acceptance.

What is missing: I would have liked to have some more written materials for the DVDs. They come with a brief 16-page booklet, but not as much material as with the classic course. The classic course lacks adequate coverage of how to deal with many common reading tasks like email, e-documents, novels, magazines and journals. They are covered, but I personally think this part of the course needs to be expanded with more practice exercises. I am struggling with how to approach these documents. Maybe it will come with practice. These are only minor points to consider for this excellent course.

I think the deluxe course is a good value, but you might consider whether you would get even more from the 2-day in-person seminar. I spent about 3 weeks going through the course and applying it to extra reading as I went. As I said, the course changed my life. I have vastly increased my reading speed and comprehension. In addition, I am beginning to apply some of the concepts to several other areas of my life. I find myself establishing a purpose for everything. I prepare before I start, etc. If you have found other tape and CD courses have worked well for you, I think you will be happy with this one.

Hi otherBrother,

Thanks for the prompt reply. I really appreciate it.

From what I read from your post, I can see that you're really into PR. I can almost feel the urge to get my hands on the PR fast now...

I noticed that if I am going to buy the supercharge package alone, it'll cost $280 and if I am going to buy with the classic edition, that'll be so much cheaper. That is why I was wondering if the supercharge package really does such wonder. Now after hearing from you I believe I can breathe relief knowing that the supercharge has changed your life and your way of reading.

It has changed your life and it is now my turn to change mine.

Once again thank you for your in-depth explaination. They really help clear my doubts.

If I already have the classic edition package, is it possible to just buy the DVD series?
