I received a set of five Feng Shui Candles for Christmas.
Metal, Earth, Water, Fire, and Wood.
By reading the directions that came with them, I am to select "Metal" facing west. What do I do with the other candles and where do I place the Metal candle?
Any Feng Shui ideas would be welcome.

The options are endless, really:

- You can have all five candles in the centre of the room, which is earth, and represents the balance of the five energies.

- The five can go together in any corner because all corners need a little of all elements. It is good to have all five present. The south is particularly appropriate for the fire nature of the candles themselves. Other options: SW, Centre and NE.

- There is no particular formula that I am aware of for the metal candle, but you can use it in the west as indicated provided the candle isn't too dominating in that area (fire burns metal).

- If you know the Time Feng Shui, place it in the abundance star corner of your house.

- Using the yearly stars, candles are good in the North and SW this year.

Just some ideas for you to play around with.

I think the only thing Marie is insistent upon is to never burn candles in the NorthWest because that is the gateway to heaven.

There was one part of the course where she told about a lady who loved her blue candle and put it in the north because blue represents the water of the north. She was disappointed that she didn't get the results she was looking for, so she asked Marie. Apparently, by burning the blue candle, the flame overpowered the blue in the candle, and cause the candle to represent the fire element, even though it was blue.

I think that if you burn the candles, the fire element will overpower whatever element it is supposed to represent; therefore, I think you should limit them to earth areas (SW, C, NE) because fire produces earth, or the fire area (South).
