Hi,

My question concerns the floor plan and the facing direction of the front door.
My house is rectangular in shape. When I divided it up into 9 sectors, my front door is located in the southwest corner with magnetic north upwards.
My front door facing direction is west 2. Do I label that sector southwest or west? See pic below. Thank you.

Well done, you've answered yourself in this post...

"My Front Door facing direction is West 2"
"My front door is located in the southwest corner [sector]"

Hi Shawn,

I really don't mean to be annoying, but so based on the labeling the floor plan do I label the sector west or southwest for that corner in which the door is located? I know it sounds silly but I'm trying to be sure because if I labeled it west it changes everything. Thanks.

Ken

Ken,
I think Shawn answered your question by confirming what you had already said. you said the front door is facing West 2, so you would use the West 2 star chart. The front door is in the South West, so you would put the door in the South West of the West 2 star chart.

For period 8, this would put an illness star on your front door.

Thanks Swingkid,

I get it now, a little bit confusing. I think I good thing to keep in mind for clarification for others who might have the same issue is that the front door facing direction leads you to the proper flying star arrangement. Then one would take the flying star arrangement and superimpose it on to one's home floor plan. Basically time feng shui (flying stars arrangement) becomes space feng shui (different sector of the home based on compass directions) again.
