question is!!! - as feng shui participants - we are looking for symbols and images of wealth promotion and enhancement - do you know of any partcular NAME of ship which is more conducive to to wealth creation

The ship need not necessarily have a name. If it does, as long as it is a ship that did not sink and had a good history, that's fine.

When I went searching for a wealth ship, keeping in mind Marie's advice about no holes, no sinking, no cannons, etc., I found it a bit difficult. Some of the ships that I saw that had names meant nothing to me and how much research does a person do to find out if it sank or not? So I went with my instincts and while looking for miscellaneous Feng Shui cures, I came across this ship and it really struck me—

The Chinese Junk is a universally acceptable symbol of wealth. I emailed the owner to find out where she got it and she referred me to the site that I mentioned earlier.

Now having said all this, I was looking for a wooden ship because I am placing it in the Southeast. I assume, but am not entirely sure, that if it is being placed in a northern sector, that being either metal or gold would be better . . .

That's a beautiful ship! It looks like it has a wood finish though, so there's really no problem with placing it in the SE. If you are concerned about the energies of the SE, display it on a blue or green cloth.

Made of wood, no cannons, no holes, didn't sink, 18 inches long and I've filled them to overflowing with gold coins, real gold ingots and chinese coins. They seem to do the trick.

Very nice ships and economically priced. I still have to get some ingots and coins. I live way out in the country (2 hours from the nearest city) so shopping can be really difficult, especially for speciality items. Any suggestions where I can buy these online?

Thanks for the suggestion about the cloth. Re-thinking this though, my entranceway is in the SE but it really is not a very good place for an item like this, so I would really like to put it in the livingroom which is mostly in the SW but also in the S sector of the house. I'm thinking of putting it here, and having it sailing in from the SE which is the sector where I have an Abundance star this year. Would you put it in the S or SW?

Just have it coming in from the SE. As to the exact sector, look at how the flow of energy balances. If you do it strictly by formula, it can sometimes look very off-kilter. What feels good is usually right.
