Hi there,
I need some help with figuring out the best way to proceed with my course, I live in NZ and if I am to use the directions of the course they are northern hemisphere and when I refer to the southern hemisphere compass directions one of our auspicious directions is no longer as our whole family is west group. North is our sunny position and water is always in our south, can anyone shed any light on this?

It does not matter whether you are in the northern or southern hemisphere. The compass directions remain the same regardless of where the sun is.

Thank you for your response, in truth though I am still very confused, I understand the compass directions are the same no matter where you live however north is where our warm/hot winds come from and visa versa for the south. This must have some bearings on the elements of the bagua.

Aloha tania,

This question has been submitted three times for this Q&A call coming up tonight. Marie will be sure to address it.

Much Love, Shawn

I have listened to the talk back and alas am still in need of clarification. As we are going to be building a house this year I really would like to do it right. The question on the talk back was not quite the clarification I need as they were referring to the turtle in the North only and Maree said yes keep it in the north OR try it in the south, not quite so easy if it doesn't work after having built a house, living in the Southern Hemisphere and having our warm direction in the north may seem strange to you lot up there but it is normal to us. As I said early I realise the compass directions are of course the same where ever you live but the wind and what it brings changes profoundly and that is my question - does living in the Southern Hemisphere have any bearing on the elements and therefore where they are allocated on the bagua to allow for the different climate, sun and wind directions?????

Keep it simple - you want support at your back, open front, facing your good direction, the left (dragon) landscape or items higher than the right (tiger) side.

Look at the time feng shui for you new house plans and make sure the stars line up as best as you can with the bedrooms and front door.

Much Love, Shawn

Hi Tania

I'm in Australia and had a similar panic when I first started going through the course. I can tell you that you have been sent the correct course for you and the correct compass. You do not need to revesre directions or anything. Continue the course knowing it is correct for you.
