I am wondering what the best place is to display photos of deceased loved ones. I have a photo of my mother-in-law that I like to display (we were very close) and also one of a very good friend. I have the photo of the good friend in the spiritual direction (NE) in my home office because I am finishing off a joint project that we worked on and I'm calling on him for some heavenly luck. This feels right to me but is it appropriate?
The photo of my mother-in-law is in the living room near where my husband sits in the evening, in the NW of the room which is in the SW sector of the house. For many years the photo was in the hutch in the kitchen which is a piece of furniture that was given to me after she died. I'd like to place her photo in the best spot in the house, so I'm open to suggestions. And our faithful old dog was put to sleep just a few days ago. My favourite photo of her is one taken 14 years ago, when she was just a pup. She deserves a place of honour.

As a rule of thumb: If you are an E person, the deceased's photos go in the West. If you are a W person, the deceased's photos go in the North. The general idea is to avoid having them in a good direction.

That said, it seems like you have intuitively found good and comfortable spots for your friend and mother-in-law. Whether you should adjust them will be your call.

Thank you very much. I'll be adjusting things when I rearrange for the 2007 stars and will take a look at the positioning of the photos along with other things I've placed since starting Marie's course.

Hi,

I have a twist I would like to find out in this question. My husband and I are total opposites. So all directions are either good or bad depending on the person. Where do we choose from there?

Meesha,
I think the general solution in your case is to split the fixes. If the door faces a good direction for you, then face the bed in a good direction for your husband, and vice versa.

I read somewhere that the best solution for couples in which one person is an east person and the other is a west person, is for each to sleep in a different bedroom. I don't know if that is feasible for you, but I think I would personally prefer that option.

You could both place them in the NW, as it represents heaven.

Much Love,

Thanks, Shawn. I moved the picture of my friend to the NE which is my own personal growth direction, but I think I like it better on my desk which is NW.
