Howdy All,

Actually, if someone could help me out I have two questions: First,
it seems to me that most of the energy centers focused on in the Small Universe meditation are also chakras? If this is so, is there any harm in visualizing the corresponding colors as I "inhale" the energy?

For example, as I draw energy into my perineum I've been visualizing the color red, which is associated with the root chakra. Not trying to mudddy the waters of Chi Gong with a Yogic practice, but for me, at least, it seems that visualizing a specific color with most of the energy points increases the energy.

Or am I supposed to only visualize white light coming into each energy center? I've learned a lot from the members on this forum and hope that someone can help me out with this.

Sincerely,
Jay

Aloha JayK,

Chunyi would probably say, "Okay, see if that makes a difference for you." Most of the time I find it more beneficial when I put that area in the light , and if a specific color shows up at a certian location (which may or may not match up to the traditional color "assigned" to that area), I thank my Master's energy and continue with the meditation.

We're not stopping at those locations because they are chakras - there is so much more going on in those areas]/i]. Chunyi has talked about the different perspectives on the body's energy centers and channels, noting that they are just that - perspectives. They're all happening at some level and can be helpful when working with healing the body.

He recomends spending time with a system to get to a core understanding before branching off or integrating other perspectives.

Much Love & have a wonder-full weekend,

Shawn

Hey Shawn,

Thank you for your quick response. Sounds like it does no harm to visualize a color with each inhalation. Seems to help me.

Sincerely,

Jay
