Hello.
I have been practising SFQ level 1 for a week. I am doing active excercise early in the morning before I go to work. Now weather have turned very cold (-20 C/-4 F) and I wonder if there is a problem to go out immediately after the excercise. Of course I am wearing warm clothes but I still feel cold when driving to work.
Does anyone have experience about this kind of situation?

Aloha Orca71,
Ideally you'd want to give the body 15-20 minutes to settle after doing the active exercises and or meditation, but if you need to go, you need to go.
One thing My wife does with the Spring Forest Meditation groups in the winter is make sure they do the harvesting at the end of the work (generally they do an hour of active and an hour of sitting meditation), and then spend a couple minutes cupping C7 before going out side (with their neck and back of the head amply protected.
Much Love,
Shawn

Hello Shawn,
I have been doing the active excercise and small universe daily for 2 months but I am not familiar with cupping my neck! Is this something that I should also be doing and where might I find some information on how to do this.
Many thanks Leslie

Aloha Sibaya,
You know how you cup your head, arms, chest, and kidneys during the Harversting of Qi exercises? Same thing, just that it's on C7.
You probably already cup your collarbone/sternum area when you have congestion. What you're doing is activating some lung points (or the windows to the lungs, as Chunyi would say), to help open them.
Much Love, Shawn

HI Shawn
I,m not flexible enough to reach C-7 with my cupped hand. Would the neck exercises open this point as well?

Aloha Skipper,
Yes, those neck exercises are great for that (and to sprinkle into your day at stoplights, your computer, elevators, waiting rooms, etc.), and for issues involving the head and upper body.
Much Love,
Shawn
