Maybe it's time to just turn off all the cd players and take a little walk, or do some physical exercise of some sort? I think that sometimes we CAN reach a state of being overwhelemed, and what I've always done when I thought that was happening to me is--take a few steps back. I might read some "junk food for the mind" books, for instance, something totally unrelated to anything at all about self-improvement. (I love digging up old Dave Barry columns on the internet, for instance.) Sometimes I just do something horribly mundane, like fold the laundry. It will usually leave me with a clearer head, and at some point (it can be hours, days, or weeks depending), I return to the self-growth things.
