Greetings all.

I have 2 Different questions for you.

I've just read the photoreading book and am attempting to take my first steps.
I'm having problems during activation in that I find myself vocalising words (like traditional slow reading) and when I dip or rapid read, I'm hearing the sounds but blocking the meaning.
It's like I'm acknowledging that I can see words I recognise but I'm just daydreaming and discard them as soon as I've seen them. Is this purely a question of focus (tangerine effect)?

I'm interested if anyone here used to vocalise when reading (word at a time) and now can "traditionally" read during the activation steps without vocalising - i.e. a visual flow?

Do you have any tips to progress beyond vocalising e.g. humming in your head or chanting?

2nd question is about the photo-focus state.
I remember being really excited when I first managed to see magic pictures - i.e. those pictures of random dots that when you focus differently revealed hidden 3-D images.
I read at the time that when viewing these pictures, your brainwaves were in alpha frequency so I'm assuming this is comparable with the accelerated learning / photo-focus state?

My foolproof method for achieving this was to try and go cross-eyed and then spring back into being able to instantly see the hidden picture.

This is kind of the opposite to looking beyond the book for the blip page as your eyes are over-converging on the focal point, rather than diverging from it.

My question is, is this a valid method for achieving photo-focus or should I persevere more with the beyond-the-book method?

Using this method, I do see the blip page & can easily maintain it. Also, on computer screens I'm seeing double. My concern is that if it's inverted due to being cross-eyed, is my peripheral vision going to be effective for photo-reading?

Thanks in advance. Apologies for long rambling post - I realise that's actually 6 questions!
