Sure you can and I've posted techniques many times

pdf files are easiest thanks to acrobat reader. I don't bother with two pages just use the single page and click page down to advance the pages. I do it faster than a page per second. However if I feel like sitting back and folding my arms I just click ctrl L and let acrobat advance the pages for me. Fastest is 1 page a second. Just use the imaginary X-technique.

If you so badly need the blip page effect draw two dots or blu-tack two colour paper dots (out of your hole punch) above the page on the computer screen. The dots are about 2.5cm or one inch apart. Focus on them for the blip page (third dot) and notice the four corners of the screen and advance the pages by your preferred method (do not scroll because that's only one line at a time you want to advance a page at a time..)
