Just wondering, how fast should I be photoreading? I normally flip the pages as fast as I can. And for electronic documents I use pagedown key and use that about as fast as I can. Is this too fast for PR to work? Could you suggest a good speed for me Alex? Thanks.

There is nothing known as a perfect speed. Further you should not be concentrating on flipping the pages as fast as you can. This, IMHO, will make the process less effective for you.

Remember the whole intent is to be in accelerative learning state and staying relaxed while Photoreading. You should be concentrating on rhythm and not on flipping pages as fast as you can. Rhythm is something that will keep you relaxed. Paul also mentions in "PhotoReading" book

This should be your guiding principle while PhotoReading

The same also holds true for electronic documents. My suggestion is try Photoreading at a rate of one page every second or two, while maintaining an accelerative learning state and staying relax. Then notice your feelings and see if you have any different results. But, definitely don't focus on speed rather focus on relaxing and accelerative learning state.

Electronic docs I've noticed that pages are skipped more and more by the programs if you hold the page down. Older computers forced the page to load but now holding a key will cause a skip effect.

You either need to slow down the keystroke response in the computer setting or just tap the page has to load for each tap. If you tap too fast it just stops loading pages when the number of taps exceeds the keystroke memory.

Book pages you won't exceed 57,000 WPM that's as fast as anyone can flip a book. Fast as comfortable works best.
