Hi,

Has anyone tried TAT - Tapas Acupressure Technique?

I have tried EFT for over a year and found it helpful sometimes. However on my first trial with TAT it worked very well and I found
that some deep seated trauma just melted away. I am very impressed,
because you don't need to tap. It is elegantly simple to do and for me has proved very effective.

For those doing SFQ - it improved my energy flow by getting rid of blockages that were very deep.

Yes, I've done both - started EFT in July 2006, TAT later on in the winter.
I found them both useful, and for same or different things.

The feeling after TAT is more mellow, while EFT is quite energizing mostly.
Yes, some of my deep seated things 'melted' too!

In addition to this, I found journalling and de-negativizing (as suggested in 'The Feeling Good Handbook' by Dr David Burns - basic cognitive behavioural therapy;)), affirmations (also used in later rounds of EFT), and writing down wishes & obstacles (as shown by Barbara Sher) very helpful, and all fits together nicely. (I've done all these before and continue to do them.)

There were times when either of them wasn't what I needed and my system just needed some sleep, for example. Or to let out some excessive energy (as Don Greene shows in his book, or by running etc - hope that makes sense?).

Just wondering, do your hands get very warm when you do TAT too?
Mine did, while eg my Granny couldn't do anything when she did it to herself. I could talk her to sleep with TAT, but she couldn't talk herself to sleep using it. (I am familiar with books of Barbara Brennan and read a book on reiki too, so this may be something to do with that. Have you read any of these books? Tapas mentions B.Brennan in her credits, I think.)

Anyway, so excited to find someone who does TAT too!!

Love,
Andreya

Hi Andreya,

I started EFT in 2005 and TAT more recently but I tend to use them in conjuction with Qigong and Quantum Touch - healing modalities to help me to ensure that I have no blockages and that the energy runs easily.

Warm hands ! Oh yes - as a diabetic, when I first started Qigong I had both very cold hands and feet but all the energy work has ensured that I have warm hands and feet constantly.
With Qigong you direct the energy through your arms to your fingers and palms and use it to help others heal. Quantum Touch is somewhat similar, as with a combination of breathing and running the energy into your hands you can produce really strong energy and again help others to heal themselves.
With both modalities you use intention and attention like TAT & EFT. This way you use your excess energy whilst also replacing your energy from the Universe, so you generally don't tire, or have too much energy and you remain grounded.

If your hands already get warm you are halfway there - anyone can learn to
help others heal. With the additional techniques people you are working on can often feel very intense heat, tingling, their bodies jerk or they make involuntary movements when you direct the energy to them - Qigong, or as you actally touch them in Quantum Touch.

Most satisfying though, is to get the feedback when pain vanishes, or depression lifts and physical problems mend.
