I found the PhotoReading course worth the time and the money. I used to be a very slow reader. I am much faster now, sometimes finishing 2 or 3 books a day. If you buy the course, you will be learning and playing with some of the techniques within the first hour. I have much better retention of the ideas.
I personally found that the course did not spend enough time teaching how to use the techniques on shorter material like email and magazines. That is just my opinion. Also, very dense technical material (like science and engineering) will still be pretty slow to read. That is because a good bit of the time is spent on grasping the concept.
I highly recommend the course. It has fundimentally changed my life.
