Hi everyone!

I have already purchased the SFQ Levels 1 and 2, and am hoping to attend the Level 3 class this year.

I have a few questions... just to make sure I am up-to-date with the current info.

1) Because the videos were created a while ago, has the technique / process been updated? I mean from start to finish have things improved / changed? I was just reading about bouncing before each exercise so I guess that's one thing. Patting your tailbone afterwards is the second... Those are the only changes I am aware of. Can someone provide a list of steps one normally takes when performing SFQ exercises? Or at least any new steps they have been made aware of.

2) There might be updates on the healing for both levels - does anyone know?

3) People who have already attended level 3 training, what should I have prepared before attending Level 3 class in MN?

Thanks for your help!

Take care and God bless,

Aloha Alexander858,

Hmmmm...how ironic, they are having a Level Three retreat starting tonight about 15 minutes from my house! Darcie will be there and I will be baching it with Mr. Handsome, the three year-old Qigong practitioner in our house. (A little girl at his Montessori school was telling him one morning that she didn't like being hit in the tummy, and of course he started to explain to her that she just needed to "Qigong" herself to feel better - "Like this...") I think the teachers will have their hands full with him Chunyi's daughter is in the same school, so they'd be wise to get familiar with this "queeegong"..."sheegong"..."quygong" stuff.

Do a search of this Forum (make sure to set it for the last 4 years), for Level III or Level Three, or Level 3. Somewhere in there, someone asked the same thing and Iam2 replied after just attending.

As for updates, there are always little things he introduces a the 6-day retreat in October, but nothing at this point that would be notable to change the manuals.

One thing he does in class, is teach the Seven Steps without lifting the legs. Having people dealing and worrying about balancing, rather than feeling the energy and being in the emptiness, didn't justify the openings assisted with the physical movement.

Much Love and...
  • Know that everyone is coming in at a different level/ability...
  • Know that you will hear and get whatever you need at the time...
  • Find opportunities to practice your detection and healing steps often in the time before the class/retreat, as you are building on that, not just getting a new set of techniques...
  • Be comfortable with your hour-long Small Universe mediation...
  • Enjoy,

Shawn

Does any ones know if there is going to be a SF QiGong level 3 learning course video? Or do you *have to* learn the active excersies from Master Chunyi Lin? Also, are there any more levels planned besides Level 4, or is Level 4 considered the "master level"?

If anyone knows the level 3 excercises can they be discussed here? Like how to do them or is that against policy. I am just wondering, because I know I would *never* be able to make it to the retreat. (even though I very much want to)

Aloha Zakyrus,

As I mentioned above, the work done in Level Three builds on one's level Two practice. The more you practice the healings on others, and spend time in your active exercises, the Level Three pieces will fall in place.

I wonder what the word "never" would look like as a crystal under one of Dr. Emoto's microscopes? He has two-day Level Three intensives, that a lot of people drive or fly in and take on a Saturday/Sunday and fly out. They are quick and a lot of of stuff put out there to you, with less time the a weekend retreat or 6-day retreat for mediation and doing the work, but it's a possibility for someone on a limited time and budget.

The Level Three training gets into third eye work and is about your questions and time spent in mediation with him there working on you. I stopped by for an evening meditation during this weekend's Level Three retreat and to say hi to some folks. It was a good group of people, and a nice , new setting for the retreat. The Level Three work doesn't lend itself to a homestudy course the way Level One and Two do, and I don't think Chunyi would want to cut corners, just to get something out there.

As such, this Forum isn't the appropriate venue to disseminate the training provided in Level Three.

Level Four gets into working on issues from more of a spiritual diection. Level Five comes after that and is "soul coaching" - continued training through your dreams by Chunyi.

Much Love, Shawn

Shawn!

AHHHHHHHHH! I am soo excited about the next levels! You opened the door, hahaha, soul coaching? Training through your dreams, do you mean you study your dreams or Chunyi comes in your dreams. If the latter, have you experienced it?

Second, thanks for the earlier reply. I found what you were talking about. Just to let you know, I REALLY don't like the stupid search function that only lets you search the forum every few minutes... what a drag! It should let members search as much as they want....

Also, I'm trying to find out more information on Master Nance, can you tell me does he have a website, or more information about what he does. I've read his bio info, but that doesn't say what he is currently up to, projects he is working on etc...

I know you might know the people, but just for privacy, do you know about how many people have moved past level 4?

Thanks!

-Alexander

p.s. did you see my amazing Qi post? if you did I'd like to read your thoughts on that post.

So what level works with the base of the head?

Also, are there level 3 & 4 conferences, or only the retreat? And what of the level 3 & 4 CDs? Are they only the level 3 & 4 meditations(Moon, Sun, & Rbow), and would it be alright to start with those until I can get to a conference? By the way, I have a natural healing aura that heals everyone I come in contact with (kindof always had this, but much more refined since I started QiGong a few years back).... so level 2 stuff is cake. (I just have to work with detecting the blockage -- though I really never needed to with "auto-heal")
Oh yes, and how long is each CD?

Zakyrus,

Check out www.springforestqigong.com, click on classes and you will be able to see all the information there. They have retreats and classes.
You can get some level 3 and 4 meditations there as well.

What is this natural healing aura that you are talking about? "auto-heal"?
How do you know?

I naturally heal people when around them. It's kind of hard to explain.

EDIT:
People I know (freinds & family) have confirmed this. They feel their pains melt away when I am near (I have to be in a good mood).

What about the level 3 Meditation CD's on http://www.springforestqigong.com/ can they be used until I would be able to attend a class. Also, can I attend a Level 3 class without "offically" going through level 1 & 2?

Aloha,

Zakyrus :
Level Three
One can attend a Level Three class or retreat after going through both Level One and Two classes, or home study courses. Master Lin usually recommends working with the Level Two healing techniques and active exercises for 3 months or more before attending Level Three.

Video
I did see that video. Pete sent the link around the office a while back. There are a lot of ways to direct energy.

Advanced Level CDs
As for the Level Three and Four CD, one could listen to them. Master Lin reminds his students that a person is best off building their energy in the lower (Level One), then middle dantian (Level Two), before developing the upper dantian/third eye (Levels Three and Four). One's foundation is important energetically, just as it is for constructing a building. Too much focus and energy at the top makes a building easy to topple. Chunyi does recommends the rainbow mediation for people healing from various forms of cancer, since it's more geared towrd healing than third eye work.

Search Function
It's set at 60 seconds, which is pretty standard.

Master Nance
He teaches Spring Forest classes in the Minneapolis area and works with clients at the Spring Forest Center with Chunyi and my wife. He is currently writing a book.

Levels
I know many, many, many people that have taken all four levels of classes. Some take them one after the other, as they have the time and the money. So are they at Level One, Two, Three, Four, Five? It doesn't matter to the college whether they take them all within a month, year, or 4 years. It doesn't bother Chunyi either, since he knows they will get out of the class from where they are at in their practice. I know others who take a Level and work with it for a long time before taking the next class. Are they at Level Four or One? I guess the universe doesn't care and neither do I. I kid around with the Guild director and my wife about being in the Level Five group - secret handshakes, mediations, etc. It's a lot of fun because they also realize it just doesn't matter. As Chunyi says, the more Love you have, the better healer you will be.

Alexander858:
As for a "natural healing aura," everyone has it. If you look at the work of Dr. Emoto, you'll get how this happens. As Chunyi says, everyone was born a healer. Spring Forest is a way for one to purify their energy so that your thoughts/energy is at that natural healing frequency more often than not. You'll also find Marie Diamond talk about the Levels of Qi in the Level One Diamond Feng Shui course, under the "Purity" facet.

Much Love, Shawn

Hi--

Alexander858, thanks for posting about the patting the tailbone and asking about updates. I was wondering the same thing.

Does anyone know how to do the patting the tailbone and when to add it? I assume it goes at the end, probably before or after massaging the kidneys.

I was surprised to find the bouncing technique is in the manual. It's listed only once, briefly at the bottom of page 10, which even says that the recorded sessions don't mention it.

Blessings,

Laura
