I received an urgent message today from a friend in the USA.

As SF Qigong is considered an Alternative practice ---- Please read my main post on the BEYOND HUMAN Forum. Or check out:

http://tinyurl.com/2u7ghc

If this gets through in the USA it is almost certain to happen in other countries and the UK where they have already reclassified some alternatives.

DO something Now while you still can - closes - April 30th 2007

Thank you

Hi Faune,

Thanks for the heads up. Every few years the FDA caves in to the disease management lobby and tries to destroy all alternative healing methods. The threat should be taken seriously. The health care industry has been very aggressive inpromoting itself and bleeding trillions of dollars from our economy. The cost of medical care is expected to double to $4 trillion dollars in the next 10 years. Already the cost of health insurance has become so costly many simply can't afford it. Money has turned a once noble profession into a corrupt, chaotic self serving monstrosity seeking to dominate rather than heal. Please do speak up now.

I would actually like to hear some feed-back from someone at LSC about this so-called take-over by the medical community. It would seem to me that LSC (and other similar organizations) would be very large stake-holders in the outcome of something like this, and I'm sure they could provide some measure of calmness to the discussion, as well.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

I'm all for natural healing first and standard medicine as a last resort. It all comes down to "prevention". Doctors have no idea what that word means. They only know the word "symptom" and the other word...."money" lol.

Here is an example of how much our health is
cared for.A few months back researchers at the
university of Alberta discovered that a small
molecule called dca could possibly help cure
all sorts of cancers. The pharmaceutical company
wanted nothing to do with it since it was not patented.
The university tried to find funding on their own but
as far as I know they didn't get near enough.
The way I see it is that there is no money in healing
people, but good money in keeping them sick.

Also,a few weeks ago on a news show called W5
they were talking about vitamins being not as good
for you as we think. They even went on to say that
some were even dangerous.Of course these tests
done were by the ones not making money on it.
I cannot honestly say that I seen this myself but
so many people were talking about it.

Dr William Douglass Cambell, whose article I read
a lot, has been saying that the big drug companies
want control over natural healing for over a year now.
According to him the world health organization is
pushing for it.There should not be any country that
should think they are exempt from this.

That is the way I see it anyway.

Further to Faune's post, you can have your say about all this. Let the FDA know how you feel. Comments to the FDA close on April 30.

This link (the first of which is also posted above by Faune) will make it easy to get your message to the FDA via e-mail and/or letter:

Please take this issue seriously. It's not a joke. Spread the word.

Perhaps it would be good for people to actually read what is being said, especially in regards to what this forum is about - Qigong - but also other areas such as hypnosis, visual imagery, meditation, etc.

So from following the links below, this is what it said on the FDA web-site:

Quote:

What Is "Mind-Body Medicine?"

NCCAM describes mind-body medicine as focusing on "the interactions among the brain, mind, body, and behavior, and the powerful ways in which emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and behavioral factors can directly affect health."13 It states that mind-body medicine "typically focuses on intervention strategies that are thought to promote health, such as relaxation, hypnosis, visual imagery, meditation, yoga, biofeedback, tai chi, qi gong, cognitive-behavioral therapies, group support, autogenic training, and spirituality."14

In general, CAM practices in this domain would not be subject to our jurisdiction under the Act or the PHS Act.

Also, since other hypnotists had also written to our NGH Legislative team, this is part of the response from that person, who is quite knowledgable about these issues:

Quote:

This appears to be a scam. The FDA does not have the authority to do what is claimed they are trying to do.

The company behind this seems to me to be using this scare to build a mailing list.

When you are directed to the "alarm site" at http://tinyurl.com/2u7ghc you are asked to fill out a form to send this alarming notice to others. The web site captures that information and stores it, thereby building a spam contact list of persons interested in vitamin supplements.

The "Medical Doctor" whose signature is on this letter claims to be working for an organization called healthfreedomusa. However, if you click on the link you will discover it takes you to a vitamin store.

This sort of thing is called Guerilla marketing. I call it a waste of time.

Several people had (on the other identical thread to this one in another forum here) already noted that in order to get information, one was being required to provide way too much personal information, so I'd say my guy from the NGH has a good case.

Cheers!

Unis, please take a closer look at the HealthFreedomUSA.com website. It is not a "vitamin store" or a scam - far from it. This woman has put blood, swear and tears and a lot of her own money into fighting CODEX and protecting our health freedoms while most of us remain oblivious. And HealthfreedomUSA.com is not alone in reporting this latest salvo to our health freedom:

http://www.newstarget.com/021789.html

http://healthtruthrevealed.com/full-page.php?id=1511529904&&page=article

Speaking of the FDA, they will allow pasteurized California almonds to be falsely labeled as raw. No more truly raw almonds for North Americans. Here's a link to one of several articles I've read about this:

[url=http://healthtruthrevealed.com/full-page.php?id=1511529904&&page=article]

Do you still think the FDA has our best health interests at heart?

Even if all this turned out to be false, would it hurt to contact your lawmakers and give them a piece of your mind on what is being allegedly proposed? If you don't want to provide your personal information to HealthFreedomUSA for a mail merged e-mail to be sent to the FDA and your congressional folks, then contact the FDA and Washington directly. Better safe than sorry.

I'm done commenting on this subject here. In general, it's been so frustrating trying to educate people on what's really going on and its grim implications. People trust their governments too much and just assume if they haven't seen it on the news, it can't be so. Let us not forget that the government controls the media, many of the corporations that would profit from the proposed changes (big Pharma, Agribusiness giants, etc.) spend lucrative advertising dollars with the media and lobby Washington hard for their own interests not yours or mine.

P.S.- Again, I'm not affiliated with HealthFreedomUSA.com et al. in any way. I saw Dr. Laibow speak at a conference a few years back and just wholeheartedly believe that her intentions are sincere.

Hi Everyone

Just a couple of thoughts. We all know the unfair attacks against Osteopathy, Chiropractors and Acupuncturists (Osteopathy might have been before our time). These practices are now used by traditional medicine albiet in a limited way, but only after efforts to destroy them failed. Now the attacks continue against reflexology and other practices. Also there are the devices to aid healing.

One of the latest, which I am going to try, is the sleeping earthed mattress cover. The description of this invention sounds really bad. The matress cover is laid out so your bare feet are on it all night. A cable grounds you to the earth and is said to give the same benefits as walking barefoot outside. (A practice recommended by Chunyi Lin, by the way) Sounds far fetched, but American Tour De France champion Lance Armstrong used the sleeping Earthed device in his last three years before retirement. The entire American bicycling team also uses the same device. All report relief of inflamation, better sleep and quicker recovery times.

A close relative of mine suffered a recent heart attack. With a blood pressure of 80 over 56 she is being given high blood pressure medicine. With a 147 cholesteral level she is being given medicine to lower her cholesteral. After medication her bad cholesteral went higher and her good went lower. The reason for this treatment? They don't know what caused the heart attack and so are giving her this knee jerk treatment because they don't know what else to do. The tests show she shouldn't have had one. The likely culprit here is inflamation. SHe is going to try out the Sleeping Earthed device also.

My point (at last) is that Qigone didn't give me the results I was looking for, at least not in the short run. Sound healing with tuning forks has. I hope this device will also. I would not like to see helpful, or potentially helpful products such as these legislated out of existance. Energy medicine such as Qigong would be harder to attack because it would be like regulating aerobic exercise or yoga. Although yoga was banned to some extent in the Soviet Union.

We really can't afford to sit back and say "It can't happen here". If we don't let our feelings be known, we will have only ourselves to blame for the outcome.

Well, the name is FDA - Food and Drug Administration.
Where do any of you see Natural Health or Alternative Medicine in that name?
FDA's job is to adminster drugs and work with pharmaceutical companies (regardless of whether the topic of this discussion is true or not). If people stop taking drugs, those trillion dollar industry goes bankrupt. Do you know how much money government, stock holders lose?

Hoping that FDA would promote natural health is like:
- Medical professionals wanting people not to get sick
- Soda manufacturers wanting people to drink plenty of pure/clean water
- Oil/gasoline industry promoting electric or hybrid vehicles to prevent pollution
- Gun/weapon manufacturing companies wishing for world peace
etc. Get the point?

Professor Paul Zane Pilzer, who was also economic advisor for 2 past US Presidents, wrote a super brilliant book (among his other books) "The Next Trillion" where he gives a very in-depth explanation with examples and proofs about relationship between tobacco, drug, medical industries, FTC, FDA, etc. There is also a CD available for The Next Trillion for those who don't want to take the time out to read this book. Just to mention - Prof. Pilzer was involved in research of addictive materials for tobacco industry in his very early years and he learned & tells us how this addiction is used now since those industries own most of children's food industry, snacks, etc. these days (Kraft, Nabisco, etc. ring a bell?).

Below is a free chapter from this book:
http://www.paulzanepilzer.com/TNT%20-%20Chapter%201.pdf
It's only 15 pages and I highly urge to take 10 mins to read.

This chapter outlines J.I. Rodale's war against Federal Govt regarding preventing him to promote health related issues. After Rodale's death in 1971, lots of new medical 'discoveries' also took place and same physicians who helped govt. to condemn Rodale and his research/books (that were not allowed to distribute) said that they were wrong and Rodale was right.

Below is his website: http://www.paulzanepilzer.com/index.htm

It is upto us, individuals to promote what is RIGHT and not give more attention to what is WRONG - remember Law of Attraction? You activate vibrational energy of the thought where your attention, energy & focus goes to.
