Hi Everyone
Just a couple of thoughts. We all know the unfair attacks against Osteopathy, Chiropractors and Acupuncturists (Osteopathy might have been before our time). These practices are now used by traditional medicine albiet in a limited way, but only after efforts to destroy them failed. Now the attacks continue against reflexology and other practices. Also there are the devices to aid healing.
One of the latest, which I am going to try, is the sleeping earthed mattress cover. The description of this invention sounds really bad. The matress cover is laid out so your bare feet are on it all night. A cable grounds you to the earth and is said to give the same benefits as walking barefoot outside. (A practice recommended by Chunyi Lin, by the way) Sounds far fetched, but American Tour De France champion Lance Armstrong used the sleeping Earthed device in his last three years before retirement. The entire American bicycling team also uses the same device. All report relief of inflamation, better sleep and quicker recovery times.
A close relative of mine suffered a recent heart attack. With a blood pressure of 80 over 56 she is being given high blood pressure medicine. With a 147 cholesteral level she is being given medicine to lower her cholesteral. After medication her bad cholesteral went higher and her good went lower. The reason for this treatment? They don't know what caused the heart attack and so are giving her this knee jerk treatment because they don't know what else to do. The tests show she shouldn't have had one. The likely culprit here is inflamation. SHe is going to try out the Sleeping Earthed device also.
My point (at last) is that Qigone didn't give me the results I was looking for, at least not in the short run. Sound healing with tuning forks has. I hope this device will also. I would not like to see helpful, or potentially helpful products such as these legislated out of existance. Energy medicine such as Qigong would be harder to attack because it would be like regulating aerobic exercise or yoga. Although yoga was banned to some extent in the Soviet Union.
We really can't afford to sit back and say "It can't happen here". If we don't let our feelings be known, we will have only ourselves to blame for the outcome.
