The next time you have an open house, you might consider either hiring someone who stages houses/condos for these events, or learning how to do it yourself. Someone suggested baking cookies; another good idea is to get an automatic breadmaker (it can be a cheapie if you don't plan on using it a lot afterwards) and set it so that the bread is baking during the open house. Nothing says "I'm home" better than the aroma fresh bread or cookies! Some people even buy a frozen apple pie and bake that.
