During the self concentration meditation, I saw a teacher demonstrating a hand movement for me.

It looked like this:
Hold your elbows at 90 degrees at your mid chest level.
Hands are palm down at mid chest.
Spread the fingers and from the wrist, lift the hand up smoothly; first the right and then the left. Like a wave.

Does anyone know anything about this movement?

Also~~ I notice the solar plexus energy point is not activated during any of the exercises. Can anyone explain why this is?

Zakyrus~~no, not that.

I need to paint a clearer picture~~the elbows are BENT inward at the heart level so that the arms and fingers tips are pointing at each other(not parallel).

Thanks for trying Zakyrus!! ;>

Aloha miriam,

That exercise is for you. Do it when it is show to you like that, but it's not one to share with others. It was put out there for your situatuation.

As for the solar plexus area. That is worked in a lot of differnt exercises: moving of Y&Y, Harmony of the Universe, 7 steps, and the small universe. You may be thinking of looking at the energy areaso of the body in terrms of chackras or another perspective. In Sping Forest, Chunyi doesn't look at it that way. Not that it's not valid. He'll talk about a lot of different systems and modalities which look at how the energy sytems work. His is more based in tradition CHinese medicine, so he's looking at meridian channels and Dantians. When he comes to the heart area in the Small Universe, it's the middle Dantian, solr plexus (chakras and otherwise), the heart, wan tang, etc., rather than a pinpoint spot, a chakra, or jus the heart organ.

It's the same in the Moving of Yin & Yang. SO many things happening there that you may or may not hear him talk about even at a Level IV class, but it's still happening.

Much Love, Shawn

Very Cool! I am astounded and humbled to be so connected; to have a True Teacher who I have never met who knows me so well, and cares so much as to reach me as an individual in my dreams...so strongly, that I remember it precisely...I know just what to do.
And I take it this happens with frequency to his students near and far...wow.

When I first received the program in the mail, I held onto it for 4 days without even opening it...I knew it was going to have a profound impact on my life and I wanted to absorb that knowing first...

I had a dream that 4th night. There was a group of people in a room( it was white, empty and very bright~~the emptiness). We were all getting to know each other, and were living together. One man was a Black man who I hadn't really gotten to know. We were sitting around, and he said to me~ so how is that exercise thing you were doing going? You doin' that in your room(which is where I planned to practice)? I told him I hadn't started it yet. He said to me~ so, what are you waiting for ~ DO IT!!

The next morning I started!

Later, I was looking at Chunyi Lin's SFQ site. There was a picture of Jim Nance. Never saw him before, and while he didn't look like the man in my dream...that was him in my dream!
How amazing is that?!

We are all looked after, with a great deal of caring(lump in throat/tear in eye).

much Love~~Miriam
