The fact is that your Unconscious mind is so Powerful, that it is impossible for you to make it be overloaded. So when it comes to photoreading you might be recommanded to give no thought to such kind of questions. As long as you feel yourself are in a good state, Just keep doing it.But it's better to take a short break between books and Activation Sessions.

For big book,Being able to see the fonts on the book with a Normal focus proves Soft Gaze will work. But you can also choose to Soft Gaze on Single Page instead of Both page.

I'd say photoread the whole book if you can maintain state long enough.

Then spend time thinking about HOW you are going to activate the book - chapters, sections etc., mind maps etc.

PhotoRead the book in one sitting size and number of pages wouldn't make much difference unless you're PhotoReading something the size of a phone book then you might find about 10 minutes in you need a break. Then leave the book open and take that break come back to the book turn back about 12 pages and continue.
