I know the purpose for reading should not be too vague, but somewhat specific. The Photoreading book or course doesn't explicitly say this, but shouldn't the mind probing questions during activation be more specific and detailed questions that help support the broader purpose for reading the book in the first place? It seems to me that the mind probing questions should be directed or support your purpose for reading the book.

I believe mind probing is meant to support your purpose, so like everything you ever try to accomplish, you should try to take smaller bits of information to build up to attaining your purpose. In other words, mind probing questions should be short to the pointing and should be born from your own curiosity.

See page 25 of the PhotoReading book 3rd edition. That will help you look at your purpose.

You are correct that your purpose will lead the mind probing questions for activation.

Your purpose can change as you become more familiar with the book as will your questions.

Build in layers.
