In this case no because you're talking about yourself in the present moment. It's not an affirmation to change a future state. Rather it's an affirmation that recognises the now intended state. It's the same as saying I'm going to get a drink as you are getting up to get a drink.. You aren't asking how did I get the drink... you already know the how.
