I bought the Deluxe Course back in March 2007 and received the 3rd edition of the book. Now I see that the 4th edition is available, it seems my timing was not so good...
Could anybody please tell the main differences between the editions?
The steps have changed. Shorten the time on previewing to no more than 90 seconds, Postview after PhotoReading. Postviewing has been expanded to a step in its own right (was always there but now it's an obvious step). Rapid reading is an activation step (as it always was.) it is no longer a 5th step. The 5th step Activation is no longer optional. You do ALL the steps of the system.
If you follow the advise in the third book it's all covered. Postviewing has been expanded into a step in itself and previewing is shorter. People never stayed within the 8 minutes max for previewing so it's now 90 seconds max.
Thanks for posting the updated material information.
It's an interesting twist on cutting the time shorter in the beginning so you don't end up falling into a pit trap there. I also like how Rapid Reading is now a part of Activation. It always seemed a part of it before too. Now it just feels better when going through the steps.
Now is the book just reworked or is the whole course set reworked too ?
Paul is on a Sabbatical and working on a few projects. The plan is to completely redo the PhotoReading course so I cannot put a time frame on when it will come out. On the whole the course as it is teaches everything you need to know. What Paul is hoping to achieve is some sort of breakthrough that will encourage the learner to actually do the exercises rather than passively listen and analyse the process. Then expect to get it right the first time they try it.
