Hi photoread4me,

When you first asked me at which speed I SR, I just SRed a few pages without having any questions in mind.

I now SR the first hundred pages of a book called Mind Games - The Aging Brain and how to keep it healthy.

I formed my MP questions of chapter titles and subheadings.

I made the following observations:

1. I get slower after a few pages and need about 15 seconds per page

2. I start subvocalizing words or phrases as I get slower (what I also unfortunately do when I read conventionally)

3. I lack of trust that my MP-questions will be answered in the following pages

4. I doubt that I formulate my MP-questions the right way, hindering the book to answer me

5. I soon recognized that the book had lots of interesting information. One chapter (about how the brain works) I wanted to read entirely, while with other chapters I recognized that there was interesting information that didn't fit my MP question and I got confused, if I should change my question or not.

If SRing is about letting the sub-con trace you, I should block or distract my consciousness from interferring?
While PRing I do this through chanting, but if I chant during SRing I don't have my MP-question in mind.
So what can I do about this?

Could you tell me how you activate and what you have in mind during activating?
