Hi Photoread4me,
I had already commented your post yesterday, but it seems to got lost for some reason.
Whatever.
To get to know, if activating is my real problem or if there's some interferences in the steps before I made a simple test today.
I took a short-story collection by Raymond Chandler I had PRed yesterday and simply looked for the words "man" and "he".
So I SR a story (without subvocalizing) and the only words I read, recognize from the hundreds of words are "man" and "he".
Sometimes it was also a "she" or "the" as they contain the word "he", but what's really important is that I finally had a sense of achievement.
I only wonder how soft, subtle it is.
Maybe I was able to activate the whole time, but as it was so gentle I ignored it or regarded it as conincidence.
Weeks wasted . . .
I'll build up my confidence in activation with my "word searching and finding"-technique in the next days and then go on with real activation.
Thank you very much for your responsiveness and advice, Photoread4me.
It came at the right time.
I was about to give up PR (at least for a while).
