Lets clear a few things up.

Direct Learning is for developing a new skill or habit without actually activating the books. You leave them for the next 30 days and wait and see what happens. You can do as many Direct Learning projects as you want.

What specific aspect of NLP would you have liked to develop through Direct learning?

Activation.

When you postview you pull trigger words and form some mind probing questions. Questions you would like to have answered.

While superreading you are going too fast to read or form mental pictures you are looking for cues to dip. When you dip you go in and read (rhythmically peruse) a phrase or two or perhaps a sentence or occasionally a paragraph that answers one of your questions. If you see it's not addressing the question move on. If it does, read enough but not too much. You already know the information. Now you are just forming the neural pathways that make the conscious connections.

10 to 30 seconds per page is fine. Some will need a minute per page and I've found that they often take 3 minutes per page when reading traditionally. So don't go too fast and don't go too slow either. You're looking for a speed that's too fast to read and not so fast as to create anxiety.
