This "breathing" part is really for people who need to practice breathing, as most of us do. And getting plenty of oxygen helps with relaxation and eliminates self conscious tendencies. This increased confidence helps with how you project yourself. I fall asleep half of the time and get a ton of benefit from the paraliminals.

I don't think it's necessary to skip the breathing just because it's challenging. I find that all more a reason to stay with it. To push me out of my comfort zone. Things we avoid tend to be the things that give us the greatest opportunity for growth.
