For activation or postviewing, can you use review questions which are printed by the publisher in the back of a chapter as your activation questions? In my case, this is primarily in regards to college textbooks. Is it a good idea to use those questions in postviewing or activation or should I still be making up my own questions? Particularly if a homework assignment requires answering some or all of those questions.

Yes, It usually helps if you need to know whether you understand the section of the book and the questions are idea..

I taught someone to use test questions for activation. They used that for their textbook. PhotoRead the textbook and then did sample test. Any questions they didn't know the answer to they obviously needed to activate.

I was asked what happens if I think the answer is right and yet I'm wrong? I told him to learn to trust his mind and if he gets the feeling of uncertainty to check his answers.

So using questions that are already there is not cheating.
