Hello friends, some advice please!
Over the last few years I have almost got my dream job on more than one occasion but either through my own lack of commitment or some bad luck I moved on from a good job to another one and now, nearing 40 years old I find myself looking for another job.Once I have a goal I really want I have proved myself occasionally capable of getting it, it's just that now I look back at the 'if onlys' and wonder whether I can pick myself up and try again to get a job I enjoy (not sure which job yet!). I am interested to know whether anyone has any views on whether the Tony Robbins 'get up and go' approach or Natural Brilliance (or anything else for that matter!) would be best. I need to get over these 'if onlys', believe in myself and move on.

Many thanks

Hello Glenn,

That's usually the case with most people, we move from one job to another and not being satisfied with any, in the end we end up doing some type of business. At some point we understand that a job is a job and it's not my own, the only gurantee I have is that someday I'll not have it and will have to start all over again? I'm in my late 20's but got sick and tired of being sick and tired... IT profession, good money, next day company is gone or exporting work overseas as the expense of getting the same work done elsewhere (instead of US) is cheaper. I'm looking into primarily businesses and besides my work, I'm currently involved in an e-commerce product distribution system, that's where the whole world is going. Why don't you look at some business opportunities? Ever think about the possibility that these things are happening because deep down your subconscious mind is not really happy with what you do (for whatever reasons)?

Thanks for your reply DesertSphinx.
I think you are dead right about my sub-concious probably not being happy with my job. My last job involved a lot of studying initially and despite having passed plenty of exams before, I hit a brick wall after a few months and left that job. To study well I have always needed an inspiring goal, I obviously didn't have it in that job. I shall try and ponder which of either Natural Brilliance or Tony Robbins will help me get over missed opportunities and mistakes in the past, help pick me up and enable me to move on and find a job I enjoy.

Best wishes

Have you taken a look at the Ideal Mindset, Decisive Action, Consistent Acheivement PLCs on special? Although I haven't taken any of them they sound pretty good and they're fairly cheap right now.

I have the Natural Brilliance PLC and I'm really enjoying it. I consider myself a newbie, but the N.B. program is an excellent way of breaking down your old behaviour patterns (or limitations). After doing some of the sessions I've found myself doing stuff that I normaly considered way out of my league, and enjoying it. I'm comming to the conclusion that the Natural Brilliance PLC could be a good foundation for any other PLC out there.

Cheers!

Ideal Mindset is actually excellent because it uses the logical paraliminals for working towards goals. I did the Natural Brilliance course and followed it with Ideal Mindset because I didn't know what my goals should be when I did Natural Brilliance.

I've got Tony Robbins tapes sitting on top of my bookshelf I started listening to them many times and find them somewhat overwhelming (a lot of talk and things to do that take up 2 to 3 hours in the day to do it). I was ready to throw them out and my friend asked me to hold on to them since he wants to try the course (when he gets around to it ).

I'm a sucker for the paraliminals. When I have a problem I just grab a paraliminal to deal with it. If you're stuck for ideas for your ideal work and how to find it I suggest the New Options Generator.

Greetings
Re: your Q of LSC materials vs Tony Robbins, both offerings are valid in their approaches. I have been to a Robbins seminar and own his Personal Power series and have his original book...they are all valid, with this caution... I believe that Robbins is more skilled at practicing his trade (NLP) than at teaching it. I hesitate to set up an expectation, but the reality is that after I have studied his stuff, there have been minimal actual changes/improvements in my own circumstances. Not sure why, as again, I believe that his material is accurate. On the other hand, I also have Natural Brilliance, Ideal Mindset, Decisive Action, and Consistent Achievement, as well as all of the individual paraliminals from LSC. These are also NLP-influenced, but for whatever reason, have brought me more in results. A few times it has been kind of spooky. Somewhat the mismatcher(NLP jargon), I tend to wonder if there is some kind of irrational placebo effect going on in my own head when it comes to LSC materials, but regardless of the reason, the LSC paraliminal produce results for me. I even have noticed an insane reluctance on occasion to work thru a program with respect to a certain goal, and am coming to believe that there is a lesson there for me (you?) as well. I am not saying Robbins stuff does not work, but I am stating with certainty that LSC paraliminals have generated both states of expectation and results for me that I have not received elsewhere. You would be making a mistake to not utilize their materials. And get the Learning Courses, the coaching sessions are every bit as educational and fascinating/enlightening as the paraliminals are effective.
Best wishes to you in your endeavors.
PS I also, as one other responder noted, earn my living in a home-based business. It is a great life and something you may want to consider.

PSS Upon dwelling on your situation, another possibility pops up. Call LSC and talk to a coach there, 1 on 1 by telephone. Bases on your second post, you may benefit more from the Resilience PLC than Natural Brilliance. Eventually you may want everything LSC offers, but if you desire guidance concerning where to start, call LSC up, refer them to your postings here, and follow their suggestions.
Once again, best wishes

Hi Glenn,

It's a tough call - I have used both Tony Robbins' and Paul Scheele's material, and both of them can help you achieve your desired outcomes, albeit by different approaches.

I would say Paul Scheele's material is targeted more at your subconscious mind, whilst Tony Robbins techniques are very much aimed at the conscious mind.

My recommendation would be to start first with Paul Scheele's material before moving on to Tony Robbins' stuff - it is easier for the brain to process.

If I were in your position I would start with Paul Scheele's "Consistent Achievement" program; you will get excellent tresults with this. Then if you want to move on to Tony Robbins's stuff, I have only one recommendation: buy a program called "Get The Edge". It is brilliant 10-day course with loads of strategies for getting what you want in all major areas of your life.

I hope that this helps.

best wishes,

--Tony
