First of all I would like to talk about my experience with the photoReading whole mind system. Please reply so I can get to the bottom of this and start noticing some positive results.

I am typing this fast and have a lot of stuff to cover so my spelling and grammar may be off.

I've listened to the Photoreading Whole Mind system course several times and have completed all the excersise as I was told by Paul Scheele. After 9 months of continuous hard work with the system I still haven't gotten any positive results. I've also used tape 7A to practice on applying the system. I understand the importance of taking breaks. Anyways...

This is what I did.

First of all I make sure I state a clear purpose. I make sure the purpose I create is something that is easily controllable by me.

Here's a couple purposes:

"By photoreading the book ____ by ____ I will understand how to ____ and be able to apply it to ______."

"The reason for photoreading this book is so that I can do this and be able to apply it to this area of my life."

1.) Prepare - This is where I get into the accelerated learning state. I do this by closing my eyes, breathing deeply (until relaxed), using my mind to get the feeling of a tangerine resting on the top back part of my head (sometimes i imagine myself pressing the back part of my head), imagining a beautiful flower in nature (with moisture on the flower for extra detail) and then gently opening my eyes which leads me to the 2nd step of the system.

2.) Preview - While in the accelerated learning state I photoread the table of contents first then I super read and rapid read the table of contents. Then I regular read it. Then I go through the book like 5 pages at a time to pick up some trigger words until I reach the end of the book. The whole preview step takes me about 10 mins sometimes 15 mins. Then I take a 15 min break. Before I go into the photoreading step I photoflip through the book.

Blip page: When I see the blip page sometimes i see like a yellow glow or a 3rd page bridging 2 pages.

3.) I get into photofocus. By closing my eyes taking some deep breaths until I am relaxed. I Imagine myself on a beach relaxing on a recliner in hawaii and listen to the waves. Then I notice the smile around my eyes and do the tangerine technique. Then I open to the page I want to begin on. When I photoread I imagine an X joining the 4 corners and notice the white space between the letters. And chant relax-relax-4-3-2-1-relax-keep-the-state-see-the-page over and over again until I am done photoreading the book front to back and back to front upside down. Then when I am done I do affirmations. "The information from this book by ______ title: _____ has made a lasting impression on my inner mind and is now available to me". "The information from this book is purposeful and now allows me to ____". And I've created a few other positive suggestive affirmations.

Aside: After I am done photoreading if I look through the book I notice I get recall of the pages in the book. But little if any comprehension of the material in the book (it's mostly recall of the pictures and structure of paragraphs). I understand that at this point I shouldn't be an expert or know very much about the book at all because I haven't activated it yet. It's interesting how i get recall of how the pages look but I get very little recall of the book when it isn't in front of me.

4.) Superread - I get into the accelerated learning state. Then I look from the top of the page down to the bottom one line at a time (I spend about 20 seconds a page). Again I do my affirmations to allow the information to go deeper into my inner mind. I've tried superreading the same book 10 times and still have little if any comprehension of the book. What's happening here? Hmmm I must have questions to probe my mind so I ask myself questions about a book and still haven't succeeded in getting anything significant.

As another activating technique I create mind maps with colors, pictures and symbols that have meaning to me. I am as creative as possible with it.

5.) Rapid Read - I feel that I am forced to rapid read the books that I have used the whole mind system on. There must be something that I am doing for me to get the results i don't want. After all the photoreading whole mind system is supposed to have a high success ratio. I know that I am capable of doing anything i set my mind to. I am an engineer and would be happy to see the HUGE benefits people claim they get from this program.

Now I am going to talk about the paraliminals that I listen to:

Here is a list of paraliminals I've listened to:

1) Personal Genius 100 times
2) Memory Super Charger 50 times
3) Instantaneous personal magnetism 20 times
4) Abundance 10 times
5) Sales leap 10 times
6) Dream Play 10 times

In general I haven't gotten any benefits from any of these paraliminals after listening to them 100 times. I always refer to the paraliminal case cards. All I've expereince was more dreams and some negative effects. These tapes have taken over my life for 9 months because i keep listening to the tapes expecting some gain from it each time. I am a tapoholic and self-helpoholic i think this stuff is really taking over my life. I'm begining to think that the conventional way of doing things really is the easiest way to do things. Because listening to this tapes over and over again is just nuts!

1) Personal Genius - I did get an effect from it but it was negative. It seems like whenever I finish listening to this paraliminal I get increased levels of anxiety and feel stressed for absolutely no reason. I try and do some work but it really hasn't enhanced any of my natural abilities. I've tried several purposes while using this recording but haven't noticed improvement in those areas of my life. Will this paraliminal make me smart by making me crazy first? Is this why a lot of geniuses have their crazy ways?

2) Memory Super Charger - I haven't noticed a substantial benefit from this paraliminal. I was using this paraliminal to help me activate material from books i've photoread. But haven't noticed any gain. It feels like I am using the same memory I've always had. Not a better memory.

3) Instantaneous personal magnetism - No noticed results

5) Sales leap - Hasn't increased any of my sales or success when it comes to presenting things to people.

6) Dream play - Still haven't experienced any lucid dreams. Hasn't improved the complexity of my dreams. Hasn't given me dreams to help me problem solve. I've actually started experiencing more dreams after using the other paraliminals first.

7) Talking to win - Hasn't improved my presentation skills. It has made me notice people's talking patterns. It made me more aware of my own voice.

Things i've tried:

I was always optimistic while using the program

I've used visualization (Law of Attraction)

I've looked at pages and imagined pages going to life to replace the imaginary X joining the 4 corners in photoreading

I've read several posts on the forum

I've tried reading other self-help and psychology books to help benefit me.

Getting little if any benefit from these products is very frustrating especially when you think positive and expect positive outcomes. This stuff seems like these products are make me delusional instead.

Please reply so I can get to the bottom of this and start noticing some positive results. I hope this post helps me and all other people who read it.

Thanks.

I also hope someone can help you. And I must admit, I have some fears of having the same thing happen to me.

On the other hand, I have received postive benefits and results from Self-Esteem Super Charger, 10 Minute Supercharger, Deep Relaxation and Prosperity. Also the SFQ Paraliminal "Consistent Practice".

I may be more suggestible than you. Or for some reason, my suggestibility might resonate more with these Paraliminals than you.

I use the Paraliminals a lot for kind of a "guided nap". That is, I often need more rest, but at the same time I need to improve. So I often use them to sort of feed tow birds with one seed, as it were. I listen and if I stay awake, I assume I have made progress. If I fall asleep, I also assume that, but in any case, i feel rested when I am done.

As for PhotoReading, I must admit, you have spent a lot more time and practice on this than I have. My much more limited experience with PR has imporved my learning schools when approaching books.

Again, I assume success with PR and also with Paraliminals. So it might be a kind of "placebo" effect. IN any case, I like the results thus far, with SOME of these tools.

But to be fair to you, I also have a lot of Paraliminals, and I am not sure I have received the results I was looking for with them.

I also asked for help with a problem I was wrestling with, asked which Paraliminal I should use and was advised to put ANOTHER one on my "wish list"! In other words, the 6 or 7 Paraliminals I already had were not enough, so it was suggested I get another one!

At this point, I have almost the entire collection save 4. I often am not sure which one to use. I have ADD, so being able to focus on which one to use becomes another problem.

I just began to use Focus & Concentration and will report back results after I have used it for a few weeks or a month.

But for right now, I do sometimes feel like I have spent a lot of money, with not as much results as I would like.

But to be fair to LS, I chalk a lot of this up to my own blocks and homeostats. Ultimately, none of these tools can "do it for me". They just help create a head of steam (or not) and then it is up to me what I do with them.

I see all of these somewhat as "cheerleaders" and support. It is clear to me that YMMV really applies to these things more than almost any other kinds of systems. None of these things are rocket science and the results seem to be VERY subjective.

Having said that, I still like them, thus far, and look forward to more results.

As for, suggestions for your issues, again, I do not even have the experience you have, but I might begin by limiting your purpose in PR even more. Something like, "I will be able to master this one concept from this book, _________by___________and be able to have an intelligent conversation about it and/or to write a short essay about it and/or give a 10 minute talk about it".

In other words, start smaller and maybe work your way up. You already have invested so much time and money in PR, you have nothing to lose, by scaling BACK with VERY modest goals (e.g. read a book about a particular kind of cooking or skill such as carpentry or paper folding and try to get ONE thing out of the book via using the PR system). Success tends to build on success. If you are able to master one skill, idea, concept, etc via PR, you can then try to build up a bit, just as people do with exercise.

Next try something like, "I will master 3 important concepts/skills/ideas/ from this book and be able to utilize them for a specific project __________(name the project. e.g. building a chair, baking a pie, giving a short talk)".

And so on.

The same thing might work with the Paraliminals. Take ONE Paraliminal and a VERY, VERY modest goal and ONLY work on that for, say a month or more. For example, since you have been having some dreams for other reasons, you might just work with the DREAM PLAY Paraliminal and really just focus all of your meditation and relaxation time on lucid dreaming and dream play. Continue to visualize as you have about the dreams you want to have. Write about them as if they have happened. Read this every night before you go to sleep. When you wake up in the morning, affirm that you dreamed this! I know it sounds like a lie. And so what? The unconsious mind does not know the difference between "fact and fiction". SO continue to act as if it is actually working. See what happens.

What do you have to lose. You have already invested over 100 hours on these things, you might as well try another 15 hours or so with one CD.

I also would write down any resistances you have. You have really done a LOT of work with these things. And it is almost beyind statistical probablity, the lack of results you have received.

This is going to sound strange perhaps, but that much NEGATIVE results, is almost as interesting and inspiring to me as positive results. It speaks to me of resistance. Even by accident, you should have had better results than you report. THerefore, there may be really serious resistance there to change and success. And even if the PR and Paraliminals could never help you (or even if they are totally bogus and can't help anyone), the very fact that so little has changed, seems to almost SHOUT out that there is some serious block that you are having that PR or no PR and Paraliminal or no Paraliminals, you might need to work on those blocks and resistance. This can be done in journal work, in therapy, with creative visualization, with prayer, and with other methods that might work for you, even if LSC tools do not.

Again, I am amazed and impressed with the amount of commitment, time, energy and money you were willing to put into these things with little or no results. IN other words, I think it is laudible how much you are willing to give to improve. Even if these things do not work for you, I think you need to give yourself a pat on the back for how committed to change and improvement you are.

ANd at the same time, you do point out the danger of addiction to anything, including self-help tools. THere needs to be a balance between using these tools and then letting them go and just doing things. I know for me, this is a delicate balance (the amount of time, I spend writing in this forum alone can show that I may be out of balance! )

At this point, I would not just give up, but with whatever help you receive here, and also from the phone coaching (have you called LSC and asked for some coaching? If not, why not? If so, what do they say?).

Again, I would first work on one thing at a time. Have a very modest goal that is measurable and proveable and stick with that one thing for at least a month. Try not to spread it out too thin by using more than one or two Paraliminals. See if you can "conjure" up at least one small success. Than celebrate that. Write about it: in your journal, to supportive friends or family, via e-mail, here, wherever.

And find out where the resistances are and see what you can do to let them go. The Sedonna Method is an easy way to work with these things. I did try to buy the book, but I had to let go even of that! But enough of the method can be learned even from their free CD and DVD demos. It is just practicing letting go from different perspectives and using self-talk and questions (e.g. "Could I let this go? Would I let this go?" When?") and repeating them over and over again until we give in, give up and let go.

Even if the LSC tools never give youy anything else, if they give you this, it would still be well worth it. Or rather I should say for myself, that if that is all I get from them, it is well worth it to me.

I do indeed hope that Alex and/or others can help you more than I can. ANd I hope my modest suggestions help a bit.

Keep us informed.

I agree with the suggestions by Shakurav. I like to add that maybe you need to find the root cause of your problems. I got this concept out of Bill Harris's Life Principle Integration Process courses. I know that for me the root cause is procrastination. I am not a lazy person, but I get dispersive and try to accomplish too many things at once, but do those that are easy or not unpleasant. Important and hard things just need ages to get done. This issue is linked with lack of concentration. Unless I feel perfectly balanced and happy blocking off my like everything except the things I am doing at that moment (it happens rarely), I can rarely concentrate for hours on something important. When I take a break, then I never get back to the original task.

I agree with Shakurav about the small goals. I also believe that using a journal for goal setting (NB you need to use the correct procedure in setting a goal... otherwise it won't work) is effective.

I must say that I got some gains out of the work I have done on myself. I think the Paraliminals are helpful, but I have not reached some of my big goals yet. What I have reached is financial success (leading me to financial freedom over the next few years) and finding a woman who loves me dearly. I need to achieve more internal balance in terms of not getting upset for certain events, ie I still need to lift my tollerance to the outside world as I can't control what's outside me.

My suggestion is that you need to analyse yourself deeply to find out which success you have had so far with the phenomenal effort you have put into your work on personal development. Maybe you can find tiny gains here and there. This should encourage you to keep working on yourself.

I find myself in huge resistance at the moment and very stuck because of problems at work. I do see a counsellor who is helpful (NB I use self-help procedures most of the time apart from regular acupuncture and some kinesiology). Maybe concentrate on the Belief Paraliminal first.

One thing I found was most useful was Holosync. I have used it for a few years, but stayed mostly at the Prologue level. Now I have moved to Awakening 1 and, as Inner Circle member, I want to go all the way. I think the program gives you an overall "emotional fitness". It's like if you are a physically fit person, if by accident a person bumps into you and you lose your balance, fitness will allow you to recover your balance more easy, but, if you fall, you probably won't hurt yourself. If you are unfit, you may crash on the ground with some serious injuries.

I am using the Sedona Method in its most basic format, ie letting go. I do my letting go while I meditate with Holosync. It helps me a fair bit, but I feel that, what I have let go, comes back later. So I need to release again.

I've heard lots of positive testimonials about the prosperity paraliminals. I haven't experienced any effects yet, but I've only listened to it 3 or 4 times. I don't know how many times I have to listen to it or any other paraliminal in order to notice any benefits. I always follow the case
card too.

I believe I am just as suggestible as others who have succeeded in these programs. I know all the vocabulary that Paul uses in his paraliminals.
And I do get images in my mind when listening to these paraliminals. After listening to all paraliminals I feel very calm and relaxed. Sometimes I experience adverse effects rather than the result I am focusing on.

From using the system I've noticed an increased curiosity for books because of my excitement to have the photoreading system work in my life.
I do get recall of pictures and structure of the book only when I have the book open in front of me (and this is with or without activating).
But I still haven't noticed any significant results that paul scheele says I should get.

I don't think paraliminals or photoreading is a placebo effect because photoreading uses some natural abilities (like idyllic memory) that most people never use effectively or at all. The information from books go directly into the preconcious processor as paul explains. And there is a little more to it than that. It just has to do with how the brain works. I've read a lot of stuff about this in NLP books.

I am very committed to my improvement because I deserve to succeed and get what I want out of life. The main thing that I find frustrating is that
I am told by some that I should be experiencing some results even after the first couple hearings. Hearing that people can get success without working
very hard is very discouraging for me when I do want to work hard.

Yes I think that I should spend less time on these self-help tools and just do what I think works.

I think I should probably transfer all the energy that I've been putting on photoreading, paraliminals and self-help to my professional work. Becuase
all i've been getting out of this is non-sense.

Maybe all I need is to just stop doing self-help and just live my life because i am at the point where i don't need anymore of this self-help. It all seems like common sense to me.

I am kind of confused by your posts here. It sounds like you have pretty much made up your mind that these "don't work" (and I am still wondering what happens when they "do work"! In other words, what are the results that you were led to expect that did not yet happen).

So I am not sure what you were looking for here. It feels to me like any suggestions made, you have either already done or have moved beyond them.

So, what was the point of this message? Was it to help the rest of us so we can spare our time and money? In other words, were you trying to have us benefit from your experience?

I ask these questions in all sincerity.

On the other hand, you might just be confirming for yourself and for us the old "YMMV" point and you might be saying "I think these things might work, but they just don't work for me".

I again admit, I am not sure if they do or don't "work" (whatever that means). I know I am still having some serious issues, but I have recently discovered that most of these are due to life long ADD. And with ADD even with medication, there is other work to be done to help manage the challenges: sometimes therapy, exercise, diet, coaching, organizational assistance, new strategies etc.

I see Paraliminals as a kind of "audio supplement" (just as vitamins and minerals are intended as supplements). I.e. NOT the main "diet", because that must be other kinds of work (as you say, career work etc). In other words, even if the Paraliminals DID "work" (again, whatever that means), there would probably still have to be lots of other work to do, depending on the intensity of the challenge/problem/issue/obstacle, whatever.

However, if you are at the place where you can just say, "enough with the self-help: now back to work!", either you NEVER really needed this stuff in the first place or if you did and now you can actually do something about what you want to do, I am still unclear on what "didn't work".

In other words, if you can just focus on your professional work, and your are more effective at doing that and it satisfies you, maybe one of the Paraliminals did work!

I am not doubting your message, just not understanding it. If you can now be effective in your work in such a way that you don't need the Paraliminals, maybe they did work?

See, this is not only your problem, but I know I share it to some extent: what is supposed to happen? What am I expecting and what is the result of success? I ask these questions, because I am sometimes fuzzy about what are good examples of this. I know what it looks like on the outside to some extent. And I know I have experienced some various degrees of success. But I am not always sure what I should expect or am getting with the Paraliminals. But I have often had the same problem with medicine and with therapy.

Part of the reason I am spending the time asking you, is you seem to have a very clear idea of what should have happened for you, but didn't.

Can you help us further by explaining more what that was or is? Maybe focus on one Paraliminal.

I think I know what you might be expecting from PR, but even there, that might just be my assumption. I also assume that you have spent time both on the forum and with phone coaching asking these questions.

If not, then YOU are assuming that just because you are spending a lot of time and effort, you are doing it right. It is possible, that you are actually trying TOO hard and that though you feel relaxed, you expectations are so high and so hard that it actually blocks the success?

Maybe not.

I really don't know. But I feel very confused and unclear about your posts. Please give just one example of : a) some one benefit that you were expecting, but did not get and b) an example of a person who experienced results with little effort. For a), describe what it would look/feel/sound/be like if Paraliminal "X" had "really worked" (that might be helpful to me, either to avoid that image or perhaps even to embrace it, since I often have trouble knowing what success should or would look/feel/sound/be like).

I mean, is it even vaguely possible that these things ARE working for you, but you are not aware of it because of some other resistance? Maybe not, but is it totally out of the question?

I guess I want these things to work after spending a lot of money and time on them. And I guess this message reflects that.

But I will tell you this: even if PR "does not work" and Paraliminals also have no efficacy, I will always be grateful for LSC and do not begrudge them the money I have spent if for only one reason alone: SPRING FOREST QIGONG!!!

I have been doing various forms of Tai Chi and qigong for over 25 years. And I learned a lot and got lots of benefit from all of them. But SFQ for me at least is not only in a different ball park, it is a league apart.

Even if, heaven forfend, everything else that LSC sells has no value (at least for me, and so far, I don't feel that), SFQ does. It is the real deal and a great gift, and it was not only worth the money and effort I have spent on it, but also all the money and effort I spent on every other LSC product before and after I discovered SFQ here.

I mean no disrespect to your questions or posts, but I am confused.

Anyway, I do hope whatever you do, you have more success and get what you want from your own life.

Just curious, did you mean "idyllic" or " eidetic memory"?

Well I haven't really made up my mind that they don't work. I am still curious to see what happens if they do work. I have been working so hard with self-help that I think that I need a break. I need to make some room for these changes to occur.

I've been typing pretty fast so please excuse my mistakes.

There is so much going on in my mind right now i just don't know where to start. I'll be a little more clear.

1> Personal Genius - I've had several goals using this paraliminal.

Q: What knowledge do i need to acquire or what skills do i need to develop?

A: To be able to acquire tremendous amounts of knowledge when it comes to solving calculus questions. So that I can solve calculus equations effortlessly. I want super strong problem solving skills.

A: To be able to acquire all the skills that are necessary for me to photoread successfully.

My goals are all structured the same way. Most the time i feel my unconcious setting the goal I want before I conciously create my goal. I feel that my unconcious goals are a lot deeper and meaningful to me than my conscious and thought out goals.

What I want after listening to paraliminals is to be able to solve any problem intuitively. I want to be in the top 1% of smart people in the world.

Leonardo Davinci is my genius role model. I want to be smart like him.

My curiosity has increased quite a bit. All day I question how things work and stuff. I am curious about everything in my environment (including the subtle things most people don't pay attention to)

My expectation after listening to all these paraliminals is to be able to live a life of the top 1% of successful people.

thanks for pointing that out. I mean't eidetic memory.

Please continue to ask me specific questions so that i can save myself some typing because i have soo much to type that i could write a book.

The skill i want to master the most is the skill of photoreading because i believe everything else will fall into place after that because it will sure increase my confidence.

My name ZMasterNCreator name has several meanings. One is that I am the master and creator of my own destiny.

Thanks
