Forums IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ PhotoReading, Memory Optimizer I'm not sure of anything anymore! PR doesn't work?

I've some serious problems in succeeding with PR. I bought a DELUXE self-learning-course 2 weeks ago, and since then I've been PR-ing or at least trying to do PR-ing pretty hard, with no avail. I've read a lot of topics at the forum, learned a lot, rectified some failures, 'I THINK' I don't do anymore faults regarding steps of PR and it still wouldn't work. I have what so ever no recollection of any of(other than what I've read consciously) those 5 books that I've Photoread.

How do I do It?
I Set myself into the accelerated learning stage, tangerine technique...
Then I set purpose what I wanna do with this book and preview for 5-10 min...
(I'm a slow reader in English [110 words per min. with 82% comprehension] using longer time...)
Then I state my purpose (Tried different ones for each book, better ones each time) and Photo-Read, using the CD which followed in this course.

I enter the photo focus, see the BLIP page, and start chanting 4,3,2,1, ree-lax, 4,3,2,1, ree-lax (as stated in PR book) flipping the pages, to the end of the book and back again.
When I'm done with this, I state: all I've photoRead makes lasting impression on my mind and is available to me... and so on...

Then I do post-reading, trigger-words that carry the meanings, make mind-map, create questions (a specific ones too), so I have a pretty good vague understanding of the book structure and theme.Then I go to bed. Next morning nothing happens.

Waiting strictly 24 hours. Then super-read and do some mind-probing. When I state a question (eg. what Albert Ellis's interview with Paul and Bob was about? what they discuss about School education and\or about pornography?) about topics in the book my mind is blank... All I remember is what I dipped and read with conscious mind. I know that I can't be hypnotized, it wouldn't work on me, maybe that have anything to do with my failure in PR-ing.

Or maybe the meaning of PR-ing is to super-read and rapid-read until you get some conscious understanding of what you just read.


Please, somebody out there HELP me...

hey it sounds like you are on the right track, have you used the mind maps system??? when i first started i mimd maped a lot and it was amazing really amazing as i flipped through and mad a mind map i found that i knew soooo much of the information. also when you are activating and asking questions allow your mind to relax and allow anythoughts to come to mind as you do you wil find thought and ideas will come, when i photo read a book i get alot of impressions and feelings about the book and what it is saying, i dont remember or see every word bit by bit but if i need to i can go to where it is in the book. i started off in English and now i only photo read Japanese books, from History to Psycoloy. it works just gie it a bit of time play around and dont stress that will freez your brain, also think about you dreams.

I did everything correctly as you did as well and didn't get any clear results.
First I read a dictionary! I read the same dictionary many times! Then I read a dictionary in many different languages several times! Guess what nothing worked yet. I read several books,if not 10s them, but I have the same impression as you had. I don't remember any details after all.

1°)The claim for PR is that you dont need to read everything since 80% of the relevant stuff is already covered by PR and the rest is not that important. Wow, really? Take a serious history book and see if you can really photoread it. Or a book that you really need to keep dates,names, places and concepts at the same time! What a about a maths book or any kind of complicated issue-covering book? I doubt that it can work!

2°)I gave the dictionary example! First of all my native language is not english but anyway even if it was there are always words that I'd never heard about in my entire life! So can you try to guess the location of that a word that you have never consciously seen or heard on a dictionary before??! Paul Sheele gave an example of a guy going to sweden and didnt know a single swedish word but could easily order a meal at a restaurant in Sweden with a perfect swedish accent! Does not it sound like "a bit exaggerated" ?

3°)Not anywhere on this forum nor in success stories site, I have not seen any post that is really convincing about PR. Although I am suspicious about the system, I beleive the natural capacities of unconscious mind. Only thing that I am looking for right now is to catch more convincing proofs and some deadlines! Hey you guys out there TELL ME THAT YOU REALLY EXIST!! IF YOU ARE NOT JUST CONVINCING YOURSELVES BY SELF-SUGGESTING THAT "YOU KNOW" IT, AFTER JUST SUPERRADING,DIPPING AND REVIEWING! THEN PLEASE CONVINCE ME AS WELL! I AM READY FOR IT , READY TO COMMIT BUT I HAVE LIMITED TIME AND I WONT WAIT PRding EVERYDAY AND SEE THAT IT DOESN'T GO ANYWHERE!

SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME THAT I DIDNT BUY PR course JUST TO LEARN HOW TO MAKE PREVIEW AND MAKE NICE DRAWINGS OF WHAT I GATHERED OUT OF IT!! IT is GREAT but PHOTOREADING IS NO MEANT TO BE ABOUT IT! I ALREADY DO THESE STUFF!

I am interested in purchasing this course, does it do what everyone says? How does it work and how long will I begin to experience changes? I have a training course coming up and i want to be prepared.

summerfield is absolutely right,you are on the right track,

as paul sheele points out in the begining of the course itself,don't try hard or struggle to learn PRing,take it easy,and be calm,even if your concious thoughts,keep telling you that pring doesn't work,or you're not doing it right,

Try the following:

1.SMILE FIRST,because smile helps you to reduce tension,
and Affirm the following words (say it as if you were telling it to someone else)"photoreading works for me,i am on the right track,and i'll eventually perfect it"
the above suggestion worked for me,when i was too learning the pring and i was stuck in activation using Super reading and Dipping stage..

2.trying to memorize while PRING actually interferes with comprehension,set your purpose that you want to make all the important information available to the concious mind..you may not have a perfect recall of everything you acivated but you'll have the guist and you'll know where to look for it..

for eg: i activated a history chapter,
even though i knew why the battle took place and the consequences of the same;i hadn't observed the dates,
after activating it using SR and Dip,i mind mapped the details i had comprehended,and went back to the text for the dates stuff..

3.dreaming:its really incredible! that you can find simple thing as dreaming to help you gain the knowledge..
just to test,day before yesterday,i photo read a novel and affirmed that i would like to dream about the book tonight..surprisingly i got the dream,in my dream i was being chased away by hundreds of crabs,from an airport,in some city..and i regretted that i didn't called a taxi for the ride at the airport just to save money...
well guess what!! the person in the novel was also being chased by the crabs and he finally got a ride while he was hanging by a thread !! i was really blown away and i actually read that chpter over three times because of my astonishment...
and i did another test; yesterday i didn't photoread any book,and consequentially i didn't got any lucid dream as i did daybefore yesterday..

here's what you can do:go through the photo reading course all the way from the begining to the end ,untill you feel satisfied,because every time you go through something whether its a music,book,lecture,you'll find something new to motivate you...because Pring did'nt work for me in the beginingg either,but now i am delighted that i too can photoread..
