Thanks to all at Learning Strategies. Alex, Paul, Pete, Shawn, Lorraine (I think? Hope I got that right) in the office... good on you all.
I feel that giving proper thanks involves the following (and am attempting to walk this talk):
1) Thanking my teacher/s, ALL of them. Every person, every experience, nature - these are all my teachers. Including those things I hate, regret or fear.
2) Show them that I've learned something. anything. maybe lots of things.
3) Whereever possible, acknowledge my source/s open ly. This is different to mere "referencing".
4) Teach my teacher something new.
5) ...others? there are more - any suggestions?
6) Do this with an open heart, with no expectation of return. Where a return is desired, state this openly. Sure, I could do with your help - if you're happy to give it. Or perhaps "Ngapartji Ngapartji", a concept of the First Australians from the Central Desert region. It means something like "You give me something (of value), I give you something (of value)".
So, to anyone who's learned or gotten ANYTHING AT ALL from Learning Strategies - is there do something you'd like to say?
