I am here with DAY 4:

Finally here are those mysterious eye patch exercises and the reason why they are needed.

There were 3 main sections of todays training with the eye patches.

1. First put it on one eye for several minutes and then on the other eye just to get used to it.

2. Put it on one eye, then read normally /verbally/ for several minutes, then put the eye patch on the other eye and read again for several minutes.

The purpose was to find out what kind of feelings and thoughts do You experience when reading only with the left or right eye, and to find out in which case do You daydream or look beyond words.

Well, what I experienced is that I can read about 2* faster with my right eye than with my left eye and I am a bit more concentrated. It was a bit hard to find out because after I read the exercise I really wanted to find out which eye is the one, and I thought about this while I was reading. But the fact remains. It is my left eye which needs development.

3. I had to place the eye patch on the eye which is daydreaming and looks beyond words /my left eye/. Then turn the book upside down and read as fast as I can. /5-10 minutes/

Then right side up as fast as I can.

/Honestly I am not really sure what kind of reading method should I use in this case. I used Super reading, but maybe I would just had to choose a few pages and read that normally but as fast as I can... I will try it tomorrow./

Then I had to put off the eye patch and read the material up-side down and right side up again.

Things I've experienced:
After I began to read with both eyes somehow for a short period of time, bigger parts of the pages were jumping out in the rhythm of my heartbeat.
After I put off the eye patch I see everything in more light.

Benette states that the more eye patching I do the faster my light speed reading ability will develop.

The next 3 days will be holiday from the course, because there are only 4 lessons/week. I will practice the techniques and eye patching though in these days.
