I have been practising Level 1 for 2 years mostly every day. My question is that I feel comfortable practising for half an hour a day following Master Lin on the DVD. Would it be beneficial to practice one like moving of Yin & Yang for the half hour or is it ok practising them all in the half hour.

Many thanks
Les

Hi Les.
I think that what you are doing is fine.
Sometimes when I feel like I may have a cold
coming on I will focus mostly on the breathing
of the universe, but otherwise I try to do them all.
Sometimes I just feel like doing some exercises
longer than others. If you are comfortable with
what you are doing, that is good.

Thanks for the prompt reply Gabby, What is your feeling on doing "7 Steps of New Life sitting down!! I have never been able to balance on one leg standing up!

Thanks again

Hi Les,
Sitting while doing 7 steps is fine, but one
should work towards standing. It will still work
regardless. I have read on here, somewhere a while
back that the 7 steps can be modified to standing
on both legs, the same as the other exercises.
I have done it this way a few times and it is good.
It is easier to focus on the energy, rather than
focusing on keeping your balance.
Hope this helps.
Love Gabby.

Thanks again Gabby for your reply. I will now be trying to do this excercise standing and also as you have pointed out rather focusing on the energy than the balance.

Thank you

Aloha Sibaya,

Remember that Chunyi mentions to have your eyes open during the Seven Steps of New Life Exercise on CD #5, but does no mention this on the DVD.

Yes, in his current classes, he teaches to keep the feet on the ground during this exercise - having a flexion of the foot while bringing up the energy, extending the foot when bringing it down.

Much Love, Shawn

I've noticed on the DVD Master Lin has his eyes open during 7 Steps.
