Hi, Anyone know where I can get a copy of this chant: Om Mani Pedme Hong (sp?), performed traditionally like Chunyi did in the lotus meditation? Very simple, no music, just chanting, preferably male voice. Let me know. Thanks much.

I think you might be referring to the Om Mani Padme Hum chant. This one is on a CD of 20 chants by Thomas Ashley Ferrand and is available through Sounds True. I believe there is a musical background however. There are many CDs out with this chant on them at Amazon.com, ARE Bookstore and Sounds true, but I think you'll find they have music in them as well. An exception would possibly be Georgian chants. The above sites let you listen before you buy... unless you have an antique computer like ours. Good hunting.

Hi Deb,

If it's "Ong, Ma, Lee, Bae, Mae, Hong" you're looking for, Master Lin sells it his website http://www.springforestqigong.com/

I just received it in the mail today and it was the first CD I played. It's a mix of voices, overtop of traditional oriental music, and very nice.

DebC,

Dig around a little. I've had many sent to me over the years. Some I use, some I don't. Most time I resonate with my own "real" or "universal voice. A friend once sent me a link to one of those deep-gravely voiced monks reciting it. Similar to this monk doing the Heart Sutra:

SunnKali & ahmed01: She asked for a non-music supported version.

For fun, check out:

He's doing the same chant in the traditional music Chunyi does.
