Hello everyone !

Having read Mr. Scheele's work recently, I must admit that I am quite excited about photoreading, and the things it can do besides it. Therefore, I got a few questions.

1. Does photofocus and the alpha/accelerated learning state also applies to audio ? I mean, is the subconscious mind able to record other things than visually ? For now I don't really see the use of it, but just being curious...

2. This seems just too good to be true. So, say I'm quite experienced, and I read about twenty differnt books on a subject. Will I be able to answer questions asked about it ? Or naturally introducing elements about it in a conversation ? Or simply applying them unconsciously (like a fighting sport) ? If yes, even to a certain extent, WOW.

3. I've been using I-Doser for quite a while, which is a binaural brainwave generator. Do you think this can help me getting into an alpha state more naturally, and easily ? (for those who don't know what I'm talking about, check www.idoser.com )

4. I'm doing translation studies right now. Could photoreading my syllabuses one time each day help me a bit for the exams ? I don't really feel like relying on PR for studying for the exams right now, but taking ten minutes to PR doesn't bother me.

5. Also, does PR a French-English dictionnary help gaining new vocabulary ? Does reading novels and books written in another language affect your way of speaking in that language, in a more "intensive" way than if you read them normally ?

6. As asked in another thread on this page, but unanswered, photofocusing seems to help gaining a better sight. But can it completely cure shortsighting after a while ?

7. What other uses do you expect for photofocusing ?

8. Have you really noticed a change ? How much time did it take you to master ?

9. Is there something bad about photoreading ? I mean, has something changed that you regret now?

10. I am Belgian, so English isn't my first language. But, as stated earlier, I'm doing English and German translation, which means I understand English quite well. Will reading English books still have the same effect as if I read them in French ?

11. Do you always have to apply all the steps ? Or can you photoread a book and still get something out of it, even if not much ?

I attended two photoreading weekend sessions and have been photoreading for about seven years. I also often read in the old fashioned way.

In answer to your question above, you can get plenty from a book even if you don't apply all of the photoreading steps. The important thing is to play with it and notice your results.

I used it extensively throughout graduate school, often reading assignments hours before a test and doing well. My studies were computer related and technical -- not things you could easily guess at, so I'm convinced photoreading worked.

I also have used photoreading while playing Scrabble (big game coming up tomorrow!) and to quickly shop through crowded racks of clothing and zero in on something I really want. My advice -- play with photoreading, enjoy it and attend a class if you possibly can. Good luck with it.

Unfortunately, it is impossible for me to attend a class. I live in Belgium and there are none organised around.

So, playing around with it. Well, I still have to achieve it "the normal way" first, but I couldn't because of a lack of time - exams coming up next week.

But as soon as I master PR, I will be sure to try new techniques and just have some fun with it.
