Hello people, this is my first post!
I began learning to photoread about a week ago and have worked through the CD course as well as watched the DVD set. I have gone through 5 books using the photoread strategy, repeating the activation step until my understanding is complete. Sadly, I have yet to experience any sort of 'a-ha' moment.
I have had to repeat activation enough times to make me wonder whether the photoread step has any effect. I had no success with the dictionary challenge. Not once have I felt familiar with any text other than that which I skimmed over during survey, nor have I experienced any voluntary activation.
I believe I have approached each book free of any negative thoughts. When I am photoreading my mind is very clear. I remained relaxed and accept the outcome regardless of what it is.
I believe I know the advice which I can expect to recieve ... "Keep going. The more books you activate, the easier activation becomes."
I am fully confident in my technique. I always get into a fully relaxed and alert state before photoreading. I make sure my purpose is specific. I write down many trigger words from which I ask myself many relevant questions. I remain focused throughout the photoread, chanting to myself whilst paying attention to the four corners and the white spacing (sometimes seeing the 'blip'.) I also affirm and re-affirm. I think I just need a little re-assurance to help prevent negativity.
Thanks,
James
