Thank you for posting and sharing your experience. It makes a lot of sense to me!
Though not emotionally repressed myself, I have had similar experiences doing various forms in SFQ. The one that has gotten through to me in this kind of way a few times is Master Lin's HEALING OUR WORLD guided meditation, which is available through the Spring Forest Qigong center's website, which is
here .
There is no question that through the practice of SFQ, I am slowly, but steadily connectiong back to Source. This has been a goal of mine since going through a somewhat critical professional experience I had over a year ago, that really shook me to my core.
In consulting one of my teachers, a rabbi and psychotherapist, who was once my main mentor and spiritual teacher for over 10 years, he suggested I look into the Enneagram, specifically Sandra Maitri's work, THE SPIRITUAL DIMENSION OF THE ENNEAGRAM.
The bottom line of my teacher's suggestion--and Maitri's work-- is that almost any of our big problems that come up, especially if they are recoccuring, are in essence, a result of our initial disconnection from Source, which happens usually after birth, in the first two years of life, but can happen at anytime before birth, or after (I think. If I am understanding it correctly).
So the essential task of ALL healing, is to reconnect, or maybe better put, to reawaken our awareness of our everpresent connection to Source.
There are probably many ways to accomplish this. For whatever reason, I am finding SFQ to be the best way for me now.
And the kinds of experience that you describe, has become a frequent occurence for me lately during SFQ meditation, particularly during Small Universe and as I have said the HEALING OUR WORLD meditation.
I think of it, not as a destination for myself, but rather a signpost that I am going in the right direction.
