Hi, I have a great fear in public speaking and I also have social anxiety, so I brought the lefkoe method DVD( undo your fear of public speaking), I am still working on it , and I am half way through, the result is very well, the fear level did drop, before when I am in class I have a panic attack ever time teacher ask me to say something, now I don't it anymore or very mild but because I have social anxiety, I need to eliminate it before I can speak with no fear.
I will say this work very well, but your need to be one on one or using the DVD, I heard they also do it on phone as well, I'm too sure.
But They can eliminate all kind of belief.
Ok, your answer for Question.
You’ll have to follow the four steps of The Lefkoe Method:
1. Uncover the beliefs that have been causing your fear.
2. Isolate the events that led to the creation of those beliefs.
3. "Get" at a very deep and profound level that those beliefs aren’t true now and never have been, and that you never actually "saw" them in the world.
4. Dissolve the conditioning that’s locking your fear in place on autopilot.
1: For fear in speaking, it is cause by lot of belief not just one and I have ever single one of them, such as 'I am not good enough'( I'm not going to name all, I am not sure is it copy right). All type of fear have a different belief.
2:Because belief is form when your are a child, so you need to find the event in your child life that cause the belief.
3:This is when the Lefkoe Method comes into play, it is a creative way of telling your brain that the belief is not true, like 'dog;s are not dangerous'(slightly different to what I say).
4:If you ever read about dog saliva when they saw food and the bell in the experiment, you will understand, this occur to human as well as we are also animal, in the case of speaking, like you did something wrong at a time and something bad happen, so if similar event occur, your brain will make you avoid it. like you have a car crash, then you probaly developer the fear of car and afraid of crossing the road something like that.
Hope this answer your question.
