I was wondering when you are doing the steps, are you thinking are you doing it rite or are you just doing it?
I remember Paul saying its not about the steps and also in the book recommending that you shouldn't get into is this rite or wrong, but to basically just do it and go from there.
Also, I have used photoreading to help me in some exam work of my own and one of the things i do is i've learned that learning comes in layers.
I've noticed that as i've gone over it in the way i've found for myself from what i've learned the comprehension is growing and just seem to feel like common sense.
There is a seminar coming up next month where paul will we teaching. I've signed up for it and im flying in for the seminar too. I'd recommend if you could to sign up for it too. I think sitting down with someone who created it could help you in a big way. He might see something you are doing and not noticing that could help you.
